What product have you installed: KAV 6.0 for Workstation (WKS), or KAV 6.0 for Windows Server (WS) or KAV 6.0 Windows Servers Enterprise Edition (WSEE) or the personal product?

Hello, I am new here. I am Peter and I am from Slovenia. I wor as system tehnician at IT company. Until recently we were using CA eTrust....

A while ago we started using Kaspersky Labs products, they all rocks :cb_punk:

Now the problem... I have same issues a first poster in this topic almost 1 year ago.

On the PC with problems we are using KAV 6.0.3.837... Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 service doesn't start automacicaly, also doesn't start manualy.

I wasted much of my precious time with .NET framework installations and with Microsoft Support...

I also tried installing KIS 2009 standalone version, same happens..

I am writting here becuase this isn't the first time this happened to me... 5 PC's out of 50 had this issues,... 4 was already reinstalled with Windows XP Professional 32 bit (as they were before).

I am also listing system info here.

Please tell me there is a solution.... Since I and colleagues are care keepers of 1000++ PC's... it's annoying to reinstall whole machine becuase of this.

The 4 PC's before this one was an old installation (2 years+), this one here is less than month old.

Please help me out.

Thank you :)

(sytem info file is split in two pieces becuase of its size, senond part is in second meassage)

Hello,

I cannot open your GetSystemInfo report, please upload it once again in 1 file (Max size is 1Mo for each attachments and your report is not so big).

This computer is infected, which may prevent KAV from starting.

What you can try to begin:

1. Restart in safe mode with network, update KAV and run a full scan (if the product works in this mode)

2. Use a third party tool to disinfect the computer, like AVPTool or the RescueDisk.

If it does not help, please post an AVZ report of this computer.

Thx Tybilly.

Step 1. doesn't work, it was tryed before. However AVPTool found some stuff, I also made report with AVZ.

Here is also the log file of AVZ.

KAV 6.0 still doesn't start...

Run this script in AVZ, like described on this FAQ:

begin
SetAVZGuardStatus(True);
SearchRootkit(true, true);
QuarantineFile('C:\DOCUME~1\IZTOK~1.PRO\LOCALS~1\Temp\a.exe','');
QuarantineFile('digiwet.dll','');
QuarantineFile('C:\Documents and Settings\iztok.PROMICO\.exe','');
QuarantineFile('C:\WINDOWS\system32\sysrest.sys','');
QuarantineFile('C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\securentm.sys','');
QuarantineFile('C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\nicsk32.sys','');
QuarantineFile('C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ksi32sk.sys','');
DeleteService('KAV_Inst_Agent$db51d945-4405-41bc-b294-3c7ec17afe17');
StopService('KAV_Inst_Agent$db51d945-4405-41bc-b294-3c7ec17afe17');
QuarantineFile('spyg.sys','');
DeleteFile('C:\DOCUME~1\IZTOK~1.PRO\LOCALS~1\Temp\a.exe');
BC_ImportDeletedList;
ExecuteSysClean;
BC_Activate;
RebootWindows(true);
end.

Your computer will reboot.

Then run this one:

begin
CreateQurantineArchive('c:\quarantine.zip');
end.

Upload this archive to rapidshare.com and send me the link by PM.

I have same problem.

Have installed Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10.2.1.23 on Windows server 2008 through Security Center and also locally on servers and Workstations. It installs fine but after installation the Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service does not start, with error 1053. Tried to install version 8, which runs fine, and then upgrade, same problem! I cannot use version 8 since i do not licenses for it.

Please help before i run crazy!

Thanks

Added. I find only ucaevents.log.

Today i've tried uninstall 10.2, restart and install 8.

According to your GSI log, no KES is installed on your system.

Please kindly use kavremover with -nodetect key to delete the remnants of KES8 and KES10 and try to perform a clean install.

Thank you!
