Database have not been updated for a long time

Recommended Posts

I have problem updating the database of Kaspersky 2012. Upon updating, the kaspersky displays "database have not been updated for a long time". I tried updating it again, but still the same problem occurs. So I opened the report on updates and saw some error like this: "Error updating component: PAS5, Error updating component: APU". I search on this forum on how to resolve this problem: set the time and date on PC, un and re-install kaspersky, but it doesn't work for me. Here is my report:

Thank you.

Please attach the update report.

Upper right of Kaspersky window, Reports > lower right > Detailed report, lower left > Update, then lower left > Save, save it somewhere and attach it to your next post.

If the file is too large to upload, then zip it (right click, send to > compressed zipped folder) and upload the zip.

Welcome. Check system date/time correct, then Settings > Update > Settings > Update source > Proxy server > uncheck proxy server > ok>ok>ok.

And Settings > fourth icon (cardboard box) > Appearance > enable Animate taskbar icon > ok.

Upper right of Kaspersky window, Reports > lower right > Detailed report, lower left > Update, then lower left > Save, save it somewhere and attach it to your next post.

If the file is too large to upload, then zip it (right click, send to > compressed zipped folder) and upload the zip.

Also, Please post the link of your GetSystemInfo report by following the four steps outlined here: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?s=&am...post&p=5395

Your GSI log show disk errors - here are the directions for performing a disk check:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265/EN-US

After performing, please post a new GSI to see if problem persists......

Update files are corrupted. Please uninstall Kaspersky and reinstall Kaspersky.

While Kaspersky is uninstalled, please also uninstall VIP access SDK and then also run the Norton removal located here: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=5233

Clear your temp folder contents: http://support.kaspersky.com/kis2011/error...p;qid=208279128

Also, please double check your date and time as your GSI and update report are showing 00:48 7/11/12. This may be correct for your part of the country though, I can't tell.

After you have done the steps above, reboot and then reinstall Kaspersky > do a database update > reboot again. Download a fresh installer from here: http://www.kaspersky.com/productupdates
