Endpoint Security 10 (Landesk Branding) [In progress]

Hello,

 

Look for some help from hopefully someone with more answers. We had started to roll out Endpoint Security 10 (Landesk Branding) to are end users desktop. But then we had to stop do to the the system becoming unusable do to slow down's.

 

When we looked in to it it looked to have been caused by the AV as the System Watcher Protection was on. Shutting this off creates no slow down on are systems.

 

We have been told by are Vendor Landesk that this is a known issue with Kaspersky AV. But I see this was an issue back in 2013 not 2015. The application version is 10.2.1.23 (a)

 

We have provided trace logs to them but still have not got confirmation why this caused a slow down They keep saying they are waiting on Kaspersky.

 

Current working config is

 

File AV on

Mail AV off

We AV off

IM ON

Network Attack On

System Watcher Off

We recommend You to update to a newer version KES10 SP1 and check the issue reproduction.

 

Please inform us of the result.

If it's the Landesk product and just using our engine, then you probably won't be able to upgrade so easily.

You'll need wait for Landesk to answer your query and keep system watcher off until they find a solution.

This looks like it is the case. Lucky for me there now is a few other having the same issue so hopefully they will fix this soon.
