Secure Connection vs Safe Money

Recommended Posts

Good question!

For Safe Money, the is a good description about this service in this Kaspersky article

When you open the pages of online payment systems, Kaspersky Security Cloud prompts you to open the site in the protected mode via Safe Money. If you agree, the page opens in the Protected Browser. Your data is protected when the frame around the browser window is green. If the frame is orange, then your system is not secure: either Safe Money has started with an error, or your operating system contains critical vulnerabilities. In the Safe Money mode, Kaspersky Security Cloud protects you from information theft and unauthorized capture of screenshots.

For Secure Connection, see the description in this Kaspersky article

Kaspersky Secure Connection is a tool for protecting Internet connections. Kaspersky Secure Connection establishes a secure connection: it hides your real IP address and location, and transfers your data via the encrypted channel. Use Kaspersky Secure Connection to protect your credentials and private information when you shop online or use social networks.

See also the extra description further down in this article, which explaines the Secure Connection a bit more detailed.

In short you can say:
Safe Money protects your only browsing / shopping / banking sessions from been captured by keyloggers or unknown trojan viruses.

Secure Connection encrypts all of you traffic between your computer and the VPN server used by Secure Connection and is by this hiding all traffic from potential external listeners, when using a public open Wifi for example.
