Does Windows Defender Smart Screen have to be on if I have KIS 18?  I turned it off for some reason.  It's been so long ago I can't remember why.  But now I have a warning that my computer's at risk, please turn on Smart Screen.  Is it necessary or does KIS 18 handle this?  Any input would be appreciated.

In my opinion, it wouldn't hurt to leave Smart Screen Enabled. Its to prevent phishing or malware sites from happening. KIS 18 does this as well, but to me, it doesn't hurt to have extra prevention, just in case MBAM misses any. Definitely won't block KIS from its effectiveness and the two work well together.

thanks plb4333,  I'll keep it on for now.  But there is a reason I turned it off.  I just can't remember.

It's not necessary no. For added protection however, you can keep it on just fine.
