  6. you are welcome, Marti. We got the incident, thank you. The easiest way to find out the version is to hover the mouse pointer over the Kaspersky icon in Windows tray. Other ways: right click on the product icon and choose About in the program click on the support icon (a man’s head with a microphone in the lower bottom corner) Regards, Igor
  7. You are most welcome @Il.Za Answering your question: As you found out, the enabled Windows Memory Integrity Feature disables usage of hardware virtualization in Kaspersky and as you know and as written in the article, this reduces the capabilities of Protected Browser to protect the user against some complex threats. On the other hand, Windows Memory Integrity is a feature that adds a layer of protection. The decision is up to you. We recommend enabling hardware virtualization to use Kaspersky features for additional protection.
  8. You are most welcome @Il.Za If there are no performance issures or any other conflicts induced by enabled Windows Memory Integrity Feature, you can enable it for an additional layer of security.
  9. Hi @Il.Za , Hardware acceleration is also used by System Watcher in certain scenarios. “Memory integrity is a feature of Windows that ensures code running in the Windows kernel is securely designed and trustworthy. It uses hardware virtualization and Hyper-V to protect Windows kernel-mode processes from the injection and execution of malicious or unverified code.” Kaspersky products definitely protect from the injection and execution of malicious or unverified code with the help of File Anti-Virus, System Watcher and Application Control. Regards, Igor
  10. Hi @Marc Jackson , Kaspersky Security Network actually does have benefits, please check this out: https://support.kaspersky.com/us/8775 Regards, Igor
  11. hi @Marti , Please submit a ticket to technical support via https://my.kaspersky.com and send me the incident number. If you are using a non-commercial version of Kaspersky, please include a link to this forum post in your request to support. As a workaround you can try to add Proton VPN to exclusions via Settings -> Protection -> Application Control -> Manage applications -> search for Proton VPN -> double click on the found application in the results below -> tab Exclusions. Regards, Igor
  12. Hi @gerikay , 24% for 27 hours does not look normal. How many files do you have on the 1TB drive? Did you check the drive health, no errors? As Berny suggested, a GSI would be needed to get more clues. Regards, Igor
  13. Hi @Johny , It looks like an actual attack which has been blocked, so you have nothing to worry about. Kaspersky is doing its job protecting you. To verify that it is not a false detection, we would need traces and network logs submitted to technical support via my.kaspersky.com. Regards, Igor
  14. Hi @user236, I just checked on my Win10 + KIS 21.1.15.500 (b) and there is a black screen when I try to make a screenshot with Snipping Tool. Please submit a ticket to technical support via https://my.kaspersky.com Regards, Igor
  15. Hi Flood+1whale, To fully identify that this Scan.Generic.PortScan.TCP is the known issue, one needs to check the report and make sure the string: “Detected object is added to exclusions” is present. If the attack is blocked and there is no “Detected object is added to exclusions” - we need to further investigate. Hi @gunny, Please check the reports via More Tools → Reports → select Network Attack Blocker on the left site → check that attacks have this string: “Detected object is added to exclusions” Hi @Johny, Yes, Kaspersky Free protects against network attacks. See more here. Regards, Igor
  16. Hi @Behagai , Sorry to hear about this issue. We would like to suggest a few steps to analyze and find a resolution. Please submit a ticket to technical support via https://my.kaspersky.com and send me the incident number. Thank you. Igor
  17. Hi @mikki , This is an error on the side of the product: “Network attack detected, Detected object is added to exclusions” In fact this means that there is no attack, the network packet does not present any danger and should not be detected. This information should not be displayed to the user. This will be fixed in MR2 release, which is expected in November. Regards, Igor
  18. hi @ggg and all, this issue will be fixed in MR2, which is expected by the end of October / beginning of November. Regards, Igor
  19. Hi @uekikou , Yes, please do an uninstallation first. Regards, Igor
  20. Hi @Wesly.Zhang, How is it going? :) Chinese versions can be activated only with special codes for China. Regards, Igor
  21. Flood, new users on the forum do not have to re-read your replies to find out that you have nothing to do with Kaspersky. By saying “we” you may be associated with Kaspersky by the new users. Please do not use “we”. Thank you for understanding and cooperation. Regards, Igor
  22. Flood, using “we” can mistakenly set other people into thinking that you represent a company, e.g. Kaspersky. If there are two people behind “Flood”, I suggest that you change the nickname accordingly, e.g. Margaret&John or Flood Family. Its totally fine to use “we”, when “we” means you and other members of the forum, e.g. , like in “Let us know”.
  23. Hi @Rimanah, Thank you for the INC number, checking the bug I see that developers requested traces with the reproduction but the issue no longer occurred on your side at that time. If the issue still occurs, please submit a new ticket to technical support and include traces with issue reproduction, we will continue the investigation. Regards, Igor
  24. Hi @FLOOD, Thanks for your comment, I missed the “Free” part. Regards, Igor
  25. Hi @koke yepes, Viruses are never provided to anyone by Kaspersky. Regards, Igor
