Hello Equipe Kaspersky

Installs but does not initialize

I was able to install kesl_10.1.0-5960_amd64.deb on Deepin 15.8 for 30 days evaluation, but it does not boot.

(Reading database ... 230444 files and directories currently installed.)

Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 SP1 for Linux 10.1.0.5960 update has been installed.

The installation was done via Deepin Package Manager and everything was installed ok, with no errors. but when initializing with

sudo /opt/kaspersky/kesl/bin/kesl-setup.pl the following "error" message appears.

edson@edson-PC:~$ sudo /opt/kaspersky/kesl/bin/kesl-setup.pl

Setting up the Anti-Virus Service default locale

You must specify a locale that the Anti-Virus Service will use when
applying the protection settings.
It is important to specify the locale you are using when working with the
file system names (in most cases this should be the system default locale)
[pt_BR.UTF-8]:

Anti-Virus Service default locale is changed to 'pt_BR.UTF-8'.
Service will be restarted if it is already running.

Hi,

Could you please create incident in CompanyAccount and describe your problem there.

Thank you!

Hi,

do not have an account yet.

I downloaded this version of EVALUATION for Linux to do a test and see how it would behave on some machines with Deepin 15.8. If you can still help me in this matter I am grateful.

Hello Ivan

I am a Linux beginner and have no in-depth knowledge of these issues.

I am just an ordinary user wanting information security.

Could you tell me how to proceed before said "See" systemctl status kesl-supervisor.service "and" journalctl -xe "for details." and do the installation correctly, since the site does not provide a step by step how to do?

Thank you in advance for your attention.

Hello Ivan

On a fresh installation attempt the error message is the same:

Error: Job for kesl-supervisor.service failed because the control process
exited with error code.
See "systemctl status kesl-supervisor.service" and "journalctl -xe" for
details.
kesl not started

Hello Equipe kaspersky

apologize for the inconvenience and complaint (!)

I ended up finding out why not being able to install Kesl.

It was because of the previous AV Eset for Linux 4.0.90 that was still installed on the machine, or part of it and Kesl could not verify the integrity of the Eset file at the time of installation, being: libesets_pac.so

Follow the data:

After complete removal of Eset the installation of Kesl was perfect as follows:

I thank those who spoke and somehow tried to help me.
