  1. I was reading a topic @ http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showt...68912&st=20 which seems to be identical problems to what I'm having. I didn't realize it before, but I am also have issues where the workstations freeze accessing the server, as did the guy in that topic. I had this same issue, but didn't think it was KAV until reading that. Unfortunately, I can't install KAV for fileservers as this guy did to fix his problems. I'm running Windows Server 2008 as a DC. Any ideas?
  2. I've only tested with .pdf and .doc extensions so far. It seems .pdf files take about 30 seconds to open everytime, whereas .doc files take 3-6 seconds. If I disable the protection on the server, they both open instantly. I'll look at the FAQ and see if any of those things work, but if you have any other suggestions, please feel free to share. Thanks edit: btw, when opening the files from a server running KAVSE, files that are larger than those I've tested on KAVWSEE, they open instantly. So this seems to be an issue with KAVWSEE only.
  3. I have KAV 6.0.2.551 WSEE on a file server. When the protection is running, it takes roughly 30 seconds to open a file stored on that server from a workstation. If I disable the protection on that server, it opens up immediately. Is there anyway to speed this up? Thanks
  4. I don't want to force a reboot after so many minutes, but I'd like to have a nagging message pop-up every so many minutes with the option to reboot now or later. Is this possible? Thanks
  5. Is there a setting that can be turned on to nag the users to reboot the workstation after updates that require a reboot?
  6. I had one user get this screen as well during the patch install. This was the only user that reported this to me, so it's possible there could have been more. I checked the AV Sigs on the machine and it is updated. Aside from this, the only other error I've seen so far is a "Failed to receive file" error during an update on a server. It ended up completing after 3 tries. As of this moment, I haven't had any users reporting the original program error messages since installing the patch. Will post back if anything changes. edit: I also checked about a dozen of the workstations AV Sigs, and they are all updating correctly.
  7. My KAV versions are 6.0.837, so I used the 837 patch. I think jacppe meant to say 6.0.830 and 6.0.837 instead of 8.0.x. Whichever version workstation and server you have, use that one. I have KAV english version. So far no problems.
  8. Even without a reboot, those I've tested on successfully update. I've only rebooted a few, so no guarantee's yet. Will post back if I find any issues.
  9. Thanks for the patch. I'm in the process of testing it on a few machines. Let's hope this resolves everything.
  10. Will this workaround be required to get this fixed, or will they release a patch to fix it? I received this link this morning pointing to the same workaround... http://www.kaspersky.com/technews?id=203038735 Going by this fix, why is it required to reinstall the software over the old installation? Why can't you just stop the services, overwrite the files from the archive, and restart the services? I tested it on 1 workstation just to see if it would work, and it was able to update successfully after. Aside from this being a ridiculous fix, any thoughts on whether overwriting the files without reinstall will have any impact on the installation?
  11. My servers are doing this as well. In addition, my workstations are doing it also. I hope this gets fixed soon.
  12. Right now, KL internet servers. It seems some of the contents of the update files got corrupted. I spoke to a support tech who had me remove the contents of the bases folder, and run update again. This seems to have fixed it. Thanks
  13. Rolling back the database gets rid of the error, but after running the database update again, they come back. Any ideas?

  15. I received this error on a Windows Server EE server today. A license agreement has been violated. Reason: the "black" list is invalid. Task name: Scan Quarantine. Task Category: Key How can I fix this? Application version: 6.0.1.511
  16. Event 6906 The application module integrity breached. Module name: C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\KAV for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition\6.0\Dskm\upd-0607g.pbv Reason: system registry corrupted . Task name: Application integrity control. Product version: 6.0.1.511 x64 Any ideas on how to fix this? It's a fresh install done a few days ago, and I get this error everytime the server is rebooted. Thanks

  18. Is it possible to restore a backup from an MSDE 2000 installation to a MSSQL 2005 Express install? If not, what are my options? Thanks

  20. Workstations are shutdown daily and this happens on different systems at random times, so running a trace up until the problem occurs again may not be possible. It just so happens it did it again on the same system as the original post, but it didn't occur for 2.5 weeks. If I enable tracing, will it continue to trace after reboots? Thanks

  22. Hi cain, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've got the latest version of both installed (6.0.1591). It doesn't seem to do it on any 1 type of system either. So far it's done it on an older 1.6 Ghz P4 Windows 2000 SP4 workstation and a newer 3.2 Ghz P4 XP SP2 workstation, so I haven't been able to narrow it down to anything specific aside from software error.
  23. Ok, it's happened again and I've checked for the registry settings. I'm attaching a screenshot of what is set in the registry. Both products show not running in Admin Kit. How can this be fixed so it doesn't do this anymore? edit: I restarted just the netagent, and it fixed the problem. The question still remains, what causes this and how to fix it from happening again? Thanks
  24. Given the circumstances though, which product would be best suited for this setup? Can you install both KAV for Windows Server Enterprise and Kaspersky Security for MS Exchange Server 2007 on the same machine? Thanks
