  1. So this is kinda weird. If I'm on a site like eBay that Kaspersky has to verify, I'll get a little message saying it's verified. But lately I'm getting it for sites I'm not on at the moment, particularly eBay. Now this might have something to do with cookies that have been put into chrome, so it's probably not a big deal. But I'm just checking to see if anyone knows for sure.
  2. Hello, I created a rescue disk and I'm trying to give it a test drive just in case I need it later on. So I figure I'll try firing it up once. I'm on Win 8.1, so I hold shift and click restart and get some advanced options. When I hit 'boot from CD/USB', it goes black, but then just restarts normally. Is there something else I'm supposed to do? I've read something about changing to Legacy mode but when looking at the settings, that's greyed out and can't be selected. I'd really like knowing how to make this work for the future. Thanks in advance.
  3. Kaspersky is blocking a particular URL that I need to get to because it thinks it's an ad. However, I know for a fact it's trustworthy. How can I get it to let me in? I believe my version is Kaspersky Internet security 2014.
  4. Thank you for your response. It hasn't done it again since I posted the question. As long as it's not some kind of hidden virus I won't worry about it.
  5. So like the title says, the update starts. Gets to 24%, sits for a second, then stops and says I'm up to date. I look in the event log and it says 'no updates available'. Which is fine, but why is it trying to update in the first place? I've had Kaspersky for three months and this just started today. I just want to make sure that everything's in order and it's not a sign of something going wrong. If it's just something the program does, that's perfectly fine.
