  1. I downloaded it from kaspersky.com, a link someone posted on this forum.
  2. I am running KAV 18.0.0.405(b) and I constantly get these warnings that KAV "Cannot guarantee authenticity of the domain to which encrypted connection is established" for all my work-related internal sites. Since I go to everything from my own links, I just don't care. This is so bad & so common now that I'm ready to uninstall Kaspersky since I cannot make them stop. I have disabled "Web Anti-Virus" entirely (Settings|Protection), but it's still happening. Even if I disable KAV entirely, it still happens! How do I stop this?
  3. i got the disabled activation code, too. There's now a Windows Defender (in 'Settings,' not in Defender itself) to do limited periodic scanning. It recognizes you have another anti-virus so it doesn't provide real-time scanning, it's just another security option. Nice.
  4. I don't want Kaspersky putting in its own certificate & inspecting the traffic. I want my the website security certificates. I get pop-ups saying there's a man-in-the-middle attack referencing the "Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Root Certificate." So I have gone under Settings | Additional | Networking | changed "Scan encrypted connections upon request from protection components" to "Do not scan encrypted connections" and then rebooted. But it doesn't work, but all the help I find suggests this should do it. I have also tried clearing the "Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages" but it makes no difference.
  5. hey, you are right about the Kaspersky NDIS 6 filter causing issues. I've had issues for a year where I would constantly lose RDP connections to work machines when I was connected via VPN. After reading your post, I cleared the check for that on my VPN connection, and the issues went away. I can now maintain a connection for hours; 5 minutes was a really long time before. And if I check it again, I'm back to constant disconnections. I'm on Windows 10, KAV 16.0.0.614(f).
  6. anyone know if the issue with the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client v.4.2.x (tried with multiple builds) has been resolved? The VPN service would fail to start. It's not listed as a fix, and I'm certainly not the only KAV user running it. It happened on all my machines. I got burned with several issues the first go-around and ended up reverting to the 16.0.0.614 release.
  7. They said weeks ago that 16.0.1.445 was the final build, & within the last few days they have released it. here's where I got it, & since I've been waiting for the public release, I can tell you it was put here in the last 3 or so days. http://usa.kaspersky.com/downloads/software-upgrades/
  8. Hi, I just downloaded the 16.0.1.445 KAV upgrade and installed it, and when I came back from the boot, my Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client v.4.2.01035 would not load -- it craps out with "The VPN Service is not available. Exiting." I had used it just prior to the KAV upgrade. The Cisco client is the current as of today, 2016-01-25, and has been out for a bit over a month. http://www.getsysteminfo.com/read.php?file...52f3cd1a2a5d189 Thanks
  9. agreed, i was very disappointed to find that my diligence in renewing in plenty of time cost me quite a few days. No warning whatsoever is what irked me.
  10. are maintenance releases eventually pushed down to us, or must we manually install them? I currently run 2015 MR1 & am wondering if I'll get MR2 when it hits or if I'll need to keep checking here & snag it myself. If it's not automatic, is there somewhere I can sign up for email notices about new releases? Thanks
  11. I just wanted to follow up in case someone ever searches these forums for NetSupport issues. MR1 (v.15.0.1.415) did resolve the issue. I no longer have to disable Web Anti-Virus. thanks for addressing this.
  12. hi, i just visited the forums for the first time in a while & noticed the 15.0.1.415, so i downloaded it & installed it on my PCs. Was this ever going to be an automatic update to 15.0.0.463 or are these maintenance releases always separate that must be downloaded on their own? thanks
  13. 1) going under Protection Center & disabling "Web Anti-Virus" allows it work. But obviously I don't want to disable that. Why doesn't an exclusion work? 2) Additional | Network | "Encrypted connections scanning" is NOT enabled & never has been -- all settings are default.
