  1. I've got the same problem on 2 computers, changing the setting from "Hide when inactive" to "Always Show" doesn't stick, the setting moves back to "Hide when inactive". More of an annoyance really but its only recently started happening.
  2. No, when I ran ETE after installing, KIS just put ETE in trusted. I've never seen anything that your experiencing. I just checked my ETE settings and the protecting restore points option is ticked but it says its only for XP, are you running Vista?
  3. KIS was already installed before I installed East Tec Eraser, but I exited KIS before installing ETE, if that helps.
  4. I have East Tec Eraser 2009 installed and have zero problems with it and KIS.
  5. KIS also put User Profile Hive Cleanup in Untrusted for me, so I moved it to Trusted. I posted about it in the 'Filling the database of trusted applications (WhiteListing)' thread http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?s=&am...st&p=713238
  6. You mean the Scroll Lock button.
  7. Kaspersky support want me to make a full memory dump http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=197596809 because I just can't get KIS 7.0.1.325 to run without constant system freezes and its so slow. The faq says that to make a full memory dump use the keys combination Ctrl+Scroll+Scroll, but I just cannot see where the Scroll key is. This might be the easiest question ever asked on the forum, but where is the Scroll key? I have to say that Kaspersky support is now the worst I have ever used. It took 4 days to reply to my original query, then another 4 days to reply to my answer and another 4 days to request making a memory dump, which in this day is just not good enough I'm sorry to say.
  8. Yes I did remove TrojanHunter and then installed KIS 7.0.1.325 but it made no difference.
  9. I have reinstalled most programs except Webroot Spysweeper and Cleaner. The Ethernet drivers haven't been updated because I don't like updating drivers when something is working, new drivers are sometimes worse (If it ain't broke why fix it !) Here's a new GSI log anyway http://gsi.kaspersky.fr/lire.php?hl=en&amp...amp;Microsoft=0 Thanks Paul
  10. Well I have now reinstalled/uninstalled KIS 7.0.1.325 about 10 times now and I'm giving up. :dash1: I've uninstalled every program on this machine so when I installed KIS it wouldn't conflict with anything, but its a no go. KIS 7.0.1.325 just freezes the computer when I try to do anything, I just don't know what to try next. And Kaspersky support has been really useful - I'm still waiting for a reply over 24hrs later. So its back to KIS 7.0.0.125 for good
  11. Makes no difference, gone back to 7.0.0.125 again. Next suggestion
  12. After a clean install of KIS 7.0.1.325 from 7.0.0.125, my system is totally unusable (slow is a understatement). Simple things like clicking Start > Program Files takes about 2 minutes before the program files menu appears. Trying to open anything, a program or media file for example, is the same, the computer just seems to stall and becomes non-responsive. As soon as KIS is paused or exited everything returns to normal, but as soon as KIS is restarted the system becomes slow again. Browsing is a joke, after starting Opera or IE the mouse pointer changes to the hour-glass for a couple of minutes before the web page loads. Reverting back to KIS 7.0.0.125 fixed everything. Here's my GSI report http://gsi.kaspersky.fr/lire.php?hl=en&amp...amp;Microsoft=0 My Dad's computer needs updating but after he saw what KIS 7.0.1.325 had done to mine, he politely declined I would really appreciate any help Thanks, Paul
