Cannot access orange web mail page with 16.0.1.445 installed

Recommended Posts

I clean installed KIS 16.0.1.445 on two pcs yesterday.

Prior to this I was running KIS 16.0.0.614d.

I now can't access my old email web page to log on on these (two) upgraded pcs with a message that "This page can’t be displayed"

All other webpages load correctly even the secure site ones.

On my netbook that I'm still running KIS 16.0.0.614d, I can access that page and log in without issue.

Any idea on what to do to access the webpage on the pcs running KIS 16.0.1.445?

This is the web page in question

I'm having the same problem with Instagram. Apparently, only on my PC, since the MR1 has been installed, the page is just plain blank.

Well I tried exiting KIS before going to that web page and guess what? Yup, the page displayed correctly and I was able to log on to my email account.

So has something been changed in terms of default options between KIS 16.0.0.614d and KIS 16.0.1.445?

I really don't want to reinstall KIS 16.0.0.614d just to be able to log into an old email account so can anyone suggest what I could try?

This is still an issue.

Since Instagram uses HTTPS protocol, apparently its certificate is replaced with Kaspersky's. This may or may not have any relations to why the page isn't loading anymore.

Edit 1: I've just figured out that since the MR1, this certificate is now used on all HTTPS websites.

Sounds like the same problem that we are having with accessing Face Book pages with the latest version of KAV and MS Edge browser. Just a blank page loads so I had to uninstall latest version and reinstall .614(d) and am still waiting for them to provide an updated version of .1.445. . I've been told it will be a (a) update but there has been no notification of it as being available yet. Apparently they have tested the patch and it works but not publically available as an update yet.

Just disable HTTPS scanning in network settings.

Do you mean encrypted connection scanning? Disabling it doesn't help...

Also,

Currently KIS is blocking this site.I mean there is no some message or any information in reporting.

Only possible way to open the page is to pause protection which I don't suggest to anyone.

I already contact technical support let's wait for the response.

Best,

Hello guys,

Plus TOGS post two posts up,

Can you do a manual update first and restart the computer? It should have been fixed already.

Any better after that?

Hello guys,

I have received an answer from technical support. Here it is:

This a bug of our application, for workaround, please install the MR0 version of application:

Please do the following:

1) Uninstall the current version like so: http://support.kaspersky.com/11166

2) Please download and install Kaspersky 2016 (16.0.0.614): http://products.kaspersky-labs.com/english....614en_8204.exe

3) Install the 2016 version and activate it with your 20-character activation code.

I guess that this will be fixed soon, so we can wait for fix or to apply current workaround.

Best regards,

Milos Jeremic

patch a does not solve the orange web mail issue...

Hello,

This is bad news, I have not received yet update A for MR1 version.

This is last response from technical support:

Your request was escalated to our developers, a bug issue was created. Unfortunately we do not have any resolution-related information yet.

Unfortunately we should wait fix.

Best regards,

Bad news!

After rolling back from 16.0.1.445 to 16.0.0.614d, I just updated my definitions and patch e is now installed.

Here's the kicker, with 16.0.0.614d I could access the orange web mail page to log in and see my emails but with 16.0.0.614e I have the same problem as with 16.0.1.445a i.e. I cannot access the web page with the error :

This page can’t be displayed

•Make sure that the web address http://email10.orange.co.uk is correct.

•Look for the page with your search engine.

•Refresh the page in a few minutes.

If I exit KIS then I can access those pages without any issue! :dash1:

Hello,

That's really bad. As I mention I have already contact technical support, so I would suggest that everyone report (open support ticket) maybe Kaspersky will hurry up with fix.

I was at 16.0.0.614(e) and tried but never got to 16.0.1.445. Once everything was deleted I tried again. Could not find any reference to 16.0.1.445 - NONE!

The only choice was to go back to 16.0.0.614a. It's been 3 hours now of updating and now only at 16.0.0.614(d) - and older revision.

Any answers yet on how to get to the newer rev?

Hello,

You mean how to get MR1 16.0.1.445 version or patch e for 16.0.0.614?

Best.

Thank you!

I have disabled private browsing as you suggested and restarted my browser (IE11 in win 10)but still cannot access my webmail page.

When I go to http://email.orange.co.uk/ I can sometimes get to the login page (when I can't, I get This page can’t be displayed message)

but on submitting the info I am greeted with :

This page can’t be displayed

•Make sure that the web address http://email10.orange.co.uk is correct.

•Look for the page with your search engine.

•Refresh the page in a few minutes.

If I exit KIS (with both MR0 with patch e and MR1 with patch a) then try again, I can access my webmail page correctly.

If you need any further info just ask.

Hello,

Did you use some kill-AD software or anti-banner browser plugins? Please try to disable it.

Or, try to use another browser to visit the website and tell me the result.

Regards.

Hi Wesly, I don't use any other third party kill-AD software or anti-banner browser plugins.

Atm I don't really want to install another browser as everything worked perfectly with KIS MR0 with patch d in IE11.

I actually rolled one pc back from MR1 with patch a after seeing Kaspersky's technical support response to Jeremic earlier in this thread that I've copied and pasted below:

"I have received an answer from technical support. Here it is:

So my question is why does patch e for 16.0.0.614d break something just like MR1 with patch a installed? It's not like I can continue to run 16.0.0.614d as the updater will install patch e.
