Random Network Agent Disconnects

Recommended Posts

I'm having an issue where the network agent doesn't properly connect to the admin console to check in. Because of this, admin console reports the host is out of control, or it shows none of the services are started. If I stop the network agent service, start it back up, it connects properly. There must be something that can be done to prevent this from happening. So far, it's happened on roughly 5 different workstations, and 1 server in the last 2-3 months.

Thanks,

Mike

Hello,

When this issue occurs next time please run klnagchk utility to check connectivity between KLNagent and the Administration Server.

Paste report here then we could see what's going on.

Hello,

I've got a similar problem. But my problem is, the administration kit shows that one of the computer didn't run full scan. On the scan task, it's remain on Scheduled but on the computer itself, the scanning had already completed. I've try reinstall network again many times but still got the same problem.

Here is the klnagchk log for the computer :

Hello lolipok,

The log you posted is not a klnagchk report, but also tracing files of the Network Agent.

You will find how to create this report on this FAQ.

About the issue you encountered, check that:

  • the full scan task has been created for the right product (KAV WKS 6)
  • the full scan task is set to scan "My Computer" object, see why.
  • the connectivity between KLNagent and the Administration is good, with klnagchk.exe utility
I hope it will help :)

Hello,

It is necessary to run this utility with more rights, I mean run the utility with local administrator or domain administrator account :

runas /user:login klnagchk.exe

login should be user@domain or domain\user if hosts are in a domain.

Also check the properties of Kaspersky Network Agent service, to see under which account it starts.

Hi,

I've solve the problem already. Seems like the user have no administrative rights. But I have a question about kaspersky network agent. Here is the situation, I have 1 computer that join domain. I install kaspersky network agent using administrator domain account. After finish I relogin using normal user account (which have no administrative rights). When using klnagchk utility, the error appeared (error - code 1184).

When I gave the administrative right to the user, no error occur. The network agent only running normally when login using administrator account. My question is, how can I make the network agent running smoothly without giving administrative right to the user?

Hello,

When this issue occurs next time please run klnagchk utility to check connectivity between KLNagent and the Administration Server.

Paste report here then we could see what's going on.

Hey Tybilly,

This doesn't happen too often, so it might be some time before I get to do this. When it does though, do I run this from the workstation or the server?

I'm having an issue where the network agent doesn't properly connect to the admin console to check in. Because of this, admin console reports the host is out of control, or it shows none of the services are started. If I stop the network agent service, start it back up, it connects properly. There must be something that can be done to prevent this from happening. So far, it's happened on roughly 5 different workstations, and 1 server in the last 2-3 months.

Thanks,

Mike

When the problem "the host is out of control" occurs, please, collect klnagchk diagnostics log from the problem workstation. You may either run klnagchk on the problem workstation locally with administrator rights (it may be inconvenient) or connect to the problem workstation with remote diagnostics utility klacdtgui to collect information remotely (command "Execute diagnostics").

Excellent utility! I'll give this a try next time this happens.

Thanks
