Kaspersky Secure Connection Static IP; is it possible to connect only to one virtual server with a fixed/static IP?

Recommended Posts

The work I do affects international Oil Price

I work in the UK and connect to my office from home using a VPN. To add security, I purchased Kaspersky Secure Connection. Before I purchased it, I used the United Kingdom Virtual Server to test it. Each time I connected it had a static IP. This was perfect as I needed a fixed address to receive an authentication handshake each time a encrypted data packet came to me.

After the purchase the United Kingdom Server changes its IP each connection, I assume it is moving randomly to several virtual servers in the UK.

Now my question is it possible to connect only to one virtual server with a fixed/static IP?

Hey. Unfortunately there is now way to guarantee that you will be getting same IP address each connection. This is not the goal of generic VPN service. In your case it might be better to get a special service from you ISP ("static IP" or similar) and use oVPN via your home router.
