KIS 2013 parental control doesn't block sites via https

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have activated parental control on a PC. Sites like facebook.com, twitter.com, youtube.com are blacklisted. And a user can't get acces via http

But sites are still accessable via https.

Https trafic filtering is activated in advanced setings.

What is wrong?

Facebook now uses https by default: https://www.facebook.com/notes/facebook-eng...151590414803920

How do you connect to this web-site using http?

I would also suggest migrate to KIS2014:

1) Download the latest 2014 version of Kaspersky: http://www.kaspersky.com/internet-security-latest-versions

2) Uninstall the older version with kavremover utility in windows safe mode like so: http://support.kaspersky.com/common/service.aspx?el=1464

3) Install the 2014 version and activate it with your 20-symbol activation code.

If you are not authorized, you can connect using http

I have the same problem with twitter and youtube

Has confirmed that this behavior is by design. You have to add both https and http version of websites to blacklist\exclusions. We have Scan Encrypted Connections feature to 'check' https web-sites.

By the way, have you successfully reinstalled KIS?

Yes, thanks

Is KIS 2014 blacklist import/export tool compatible with files from version 2013?

I can't get the list of forbidden sites after import :(

Are you trying to import Parental Control settings or settings of whole product?
