  1. After installing KIS 19 on Windows 10 1803, I was unable to launch OneDrive. I have MS Office 365, which installs a click-and-run version of Office 2016, and as far as I know, the OneDrive is the "for business" version. Disabling KIS active protection did not solve the problem. OneDrive was still blocked. Uninstalling KIS solved it.
  2. I read somewhere that KAR uses a cloud lookup. I assume that this means KSN.
  3. Okay, so I tried the AMTSO CloudCar testfile. KAR blocked it only on execution, not at download. So that means cloud lookup is not working?
  4. How can I test if the antiransomware tool is connecting correctly to the cloud data base? version 1.1.31.0
  5. I am not a skilled malcoder who knows the various sneaky ways of downloading files by means of command line utilities... But more seriously, allow me to rephrase my question: Kaspersky Application Control employs a system of inheriting permissions, by which a child process will not have higher permissions than the parent process. So far so good? Now comes the question: when cmd.exe or powershell calls another process and tells it to perform a certain task, is that treated as a child process, and will inherit permissions accordingly?
  6. I would like to protect my command line tools, such as cmd.exe, so they cannot be abused to download malware. In the "Manage applications" window, under the "Network" column, I set them to "deny". Is this sufficient to achieve my goal? Will this block any process started by cmd.exe from accessing the internet?
  7. I can't really troubleshoot the problem right now, as I have KIS happily reinstalled, but it occurred to me that there must be a scheduled task running at reboot that causes this behavior. Cmd.exe was looking for a non-existent file in a non-existent folder...
  8. I had KIS 2017 on my windows 10 machine, I uninstalled it and then ran KAV remover but I still see a command line string like the following. Even if I delete it, it reappears after a reboot: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c "C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 17.0.0\plugins-setup.exe" chrome-extension://fhoibnponjcgjgcnfacekaijdbbplhib/ --parent-window=0 < \\.\pipe\chrome.nativeMessaging.in.cbef7dee56d583bf > \\.\p (copied from NoVirusThanks EXE Radar Pro) what is causing this?
  9. are there any issues with KIS when google chrome is run with appcontainer lockdown enabled?
  10. Let's say I go to my banking site, and I want to sign in by means of LastPass password manager. For my banking site, Lastpass asks me to enter my master password, on the "reprompt" page. How can I use the kaspersky virtual keyboard for that?
  11. I specifically installed 2016, because the 2017 version is not yet fully ready for win10 anniversary update. I found an interesting workaround: if I set file explorer view settings to open to "This PC", instead of "quick access", it opens fast.
  12. when I enable trusted applications mode, I find that file explorer takes a few seconds to open. This can happen several times in one session. I reverted file explorer to default settings, but that did not help. This problem only arises when I enable TAM. windows 10 x64 AU KTS 16.0.1.445(e)
  13. can I just disable the firewall module in KTS, or is that not enough?
  14. Can I run Comodo firewall without the AV component, together with KTS 2016? Windows 10
  15. the latest version of hitmanpro.alert seems to be fully compatible with the latest version of kaspersky total security 2016. I installed KTS on top of HMP.A, and KTS did not complain a bit. and I experience no conflicts. windows 10 pro x64
  16. I tried Shade on windows 10 pro x64 with KTS 2016. I could not start chrome, I got a windows error: Application Error 0xc00000e5 Disabling Shade at startup did not help. But exiting Kaspersky helped. What to do? FYI I enable email notification of replies, but I don't get the notifications.
  17. Thanks, I think I will go with it, especially since there is a template for it to work in Sandboxie, it is nice to have a little protection there. (Although Sandboxie is not officially compatible with Kaspersky, I learned from you the trick to exit kaspersky temporarily and start up Chrome.)
  18. I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling dropbox. at first, TAM did not detect all the sub-processes of dropbox. After reinstallation, it detected them and allowed them. EDIT: However, I must say that TAM causes certain programs to start very, very slowly. This is most noticeable with programs that are not so popular worldwide, such as AIMP music player, for instance, or Process Hacker.
  19. are there any problems with the following: 1 Webroot Security Anywhere 2016 2 HitmanPro.Alert latest version 3 Spyshelter free/premium latest version 4 Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit free/premium
  20. when I enable TAM at default settings, it blocks certain trusted programs, such as the dropbox desktop app, from connecting to the internet. I have to go into advanced firewall settings and mess around with permissions for that specific program so it will be able to connect.
