  1. The software updater in KIS 2017 is quite useful. Where does KIS store the installation files it downloads since I want to check I'm not accumulating junk software on my PC?
  2. Chrome is working fine for normal browsing. I get the 0xc0000142 error when opening Chrome from an external link e.g. the Buy link in Macrium Reflect / Help. The link opens fine if I select Edge as the default browser. I've done the obvious steps of running sfc /scannow and reinstalling Chrome to no effect. Stopping Kaspersky Internet Security stops the error but I can't identify the specific antivirus option causing the problem by turning off/on each antivirus feature. Is there a known fix for this issue?   3. I just upgraded to KIS 2017 and have the same problem - extremely disappointing such a basic function doesn't work. When are we getting Patch B if that solves the problem since we are now past "the beginning of September"
  4. I have a laptop and desktop PC, both with SSDs, Windows 10 & Kaspersky Internet Security 2016. Login from the sign in screen to the desktop is usually only a few seconds. Sometimes it takes about 30 seconds but there is no error report indicating a problem. Someone on Ten Forums has suggested KIS may be interfering with the log on in some way. Has anyone else experienced this problem, is it due to KIS and is there a fix?
  5. I have the latest version of KIS 2016 running on Windows 8.1 Pro with Trusted Applications Mode (TAM) enabled. All has been fine until yesterday when it started blocking Nero applications which have been fine to date. I did a re-scan of TAM which then then found several hundred files requiring manual approval with the recommendation TAM should be disabled. Should i reconfigure something in KIS or reinstall it? Can can I stop TAM scanning my backup disks which do not contain currently installed programs?
  6. I use Chrome and currently have both the Adblocker and Kaspersky extensions installed. I often see the message "Waiting for extension Adblocker" in the Chrome notification area. Do I really need Adblocker since Kaspersky Intenet Security 2016 seems to also provide this functionality?
  7. Do you have the Kaspersky add-on enabled in Chrome with private browsing enabled? if so, click on the icon and select "Do not block on this site". Also, are you using ad blockers which may stop the page loading?
  8. I have to disable Safe Money when paying for transaction using a debit/credit card otherwise the authorisation window just hangs and the transaction doesn't complete (for Visa). Otherwise, safe Money works fine. It's disappointing you can't rely on Safe Money when you actually want to pay for something!
  9. My version of KIS 2106 was updated in Windows 8.1 to version (patch D) two days ago. The previous patch C did not fully support the latest Threshold 2 release of Windows 10 (v 1511+) having various severe security limitations as detailed in the KIS 2016 User Guide. Does the Patch D released two days ago now fully support the latest Windows 10 version (1511+) or do customers have wait a while longer for a fully supported version of KIS 2016? I don't really want to upgrade to Windows 10 until KIS 2106 provides full support.
