Is KRD 18.0.11.0(a) compatible with Windows 10 build 1709?
mystiky replied to mystiky's topic in Kaspersky Rescue Disk

I just created my KRD, and its Kaspersky Rescue Disk 18.0.11.0(a) (built at 2018.05.29 12:17:59) My question: Is this version compatible with Windows 10 Build 1709? Reason I ask, is that after test-running it, I can an alert box stating that Windows is running in Hibernation Mode (and Kaspersky will only run in READ MODE) and I should restart Windows and then re-run KBD (I am booting from it via CD). Please advise...

Well, today is "super Tuesday" for the Microsoft patch to be pushed to all (except I guess AMD owners). http://news.softpedia.com/news/windows-10-cumulative-update-kb4056892-meltdown-spectre-fix-fails-to-install-519238.shtml Believe it or not, I still did not get the patch (KB4056892) although I qualify on all fronts. What a mess of confusion. For the record, my CPU is Intel i7-6700K, running KAV revision (F) and again, I have the registry entry (not manually entered by me). Running Windows 10 x64 1709. I hope that by the end of the day, I finally get it.

As you may be aware, Intel / AMD / ARM chips have been found to have serious vulnerability. Known as Meltdown and https://www.theverge.com/2018/1/3/16844630/intel-processor-security-flaw-bug-kernel-windows-linux Microsoft already released a FIX for Windows 10. However, as one reads here, this FIX may not work with some Anti-Virus programs: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4072699/important-information-regarding-the-windows-security-updates-released So, what is the word from Kaspersky's folks?

I finally got pushed the (e) update and now, no matter how many times I have restarted Windows 10 Pro x64 1709, I get an alert that my KAV is not working about 1 minute after boot-up is done. However, the red K at the bottom looks like it is, and the updates are coming in. But if I click on Turn On for KAV, it still says Off. So, what's going on? Here are the screenshots.

I am running KAV 18.0.0.405(d) with Windows 10 x64 Fall Creator. Last night I got this Blue Screen with the following error: Kmode_exception_not_handled (classpnp.sys) Upon the restart of the computer, I got an Kaspersky Error, which said something about "Did not load properly last time", and asked me to send a bug report (which I did). I did further research, and found these links, with comments on this specific subject: https://www.tenforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/99421-bsod-kmode_exception_not_handled-classpnp-sys.html and then found a link that says (in German) that Kaspersky is aware of this, and this will be fixed with Patch E. So, can someone please confirm this here and WHEN is this Patch E expected to be released? I am running KAV (not KIS). Also, I DO NOT have FireFox installed on my machine. Only running IE 11 or Edge sometimes.

I am running Windows 10 build 1703 (64bit), and using it with KAV 18.405(d) - note this is just the KAV and not the KIS. I've read about a bunch of various issues that some are having with KIS since the Fall Creator edition update was release. My question: Should I wait for the KAV (e) revision or it's okay to upgrade now? We all know that Microsoft will eventually force this update on all of us. Thanks for everyone's input!
