I'm sorry but I didn't know where to put this kind of topic. I've been using this completely safe open source program called Hydrus for years now, that was written in python2. Its basically an image viewer/organizing program that does a crap ton of stuff, more than what your usual image programs can do. The author updates it almost every week for years now and just a few weeks ago he started changing the code over to python 3. Last week he finally released the updated version of Hydrus running python3 and Kasperksy would slow it down to a crawl due to file scanning, to a point where I had to whitelist the main .exe it used. Author release another update this week which I installed and made Kasperksy flip the heck out with false reports. I can't even white list the program anymore because Kasperksy would automatically remove the .exe regardless of weather the whole folder is white listed.

I tried to summit it here virusdesk.kaspersky.com but the file size is too large and I don't know where to send it.

    Go to https://my.kaspersky.com/techsupport#/requests/new

    fill up all required information

    Set request type to Malware

Set request subtype to False Positive

Type your explanation then send your file via WebDAV

Is there a method of disabling Rootkitscans only when PC is being used. Currently Rootkit scans are starting when playing online games and causing disconnections. The only way I have found to stop this is by shutting down virus protection and this totally defeats the purpose of having it. I have set scans to only occur once per week and this has slowed the problem but is also less than ideal. I feel this should be an automatic reaction by the program but I don't see anything anywhere except methods to completely shut down scans and run only manually

Go to Performance tab then check "Use Gaming mode" and "Postpone computer scan tasks when the CPU and disk systems are at high load"

    Hi,

I recently purchased Kaspersky Total Security 2018 and noticed a few issues with Kaspersky TS 2018.

    (Machine 1 specs)

Running Firefox 55.0.3 and accessing Facebook the scrolling becomes very jittery, Not sure why only Facebook so far but that is the only site I have noticed it on. Looked for issues and none described what I was noticing. Any ideas?

Found the recommended course of action for Thunderbird and Gmail and the certificate issue but is that really a proper solution or just a workaround?

On my wifes system running Win 10 and accessing Facebook once again very jittery and the games will not load and she likes her games, Happy wife happy life, Went back to Bitdefender until this get's sorted. Tried some recommended settings including disabling some of the core protection that Kapsersky has and still did not resolve the issues.

Figured I would run this by here as Kaspersky tech seems to be a little pokey

Any thoughts or recommendations I am open as it seems like it would be a great program but I want to make sure it is all going to work before the 30 day return policy is over.

Try excluding facebook from Private Browsing component

  4. I've been using KIS for mobile quite sometime now. So far no or little impact to my phone's battery life. I also installed it to my little brother's tablet. I also liked the Safe Kids app to make my brother stay away from harm. I want to install them both (KIS for android and Safe Kids) but maybe it's too much for resources. That's why I would love to see KIS for android merged with Safe kids features. That would be great just like the KIS parental control. Hoping it will be happen. Thanks Kaspersky and keep up the good work.

  5. I've purchased Kaspersky Total Security Multi Device 2017 because it comes with Kaspersky Safe Kids. I've installed it (Safe Kids) to my brother's android phone, set it up then it works great. But my problem is it can easily remove by using the android's built-in application manager. Please fix this ASAP thanks. By the way Kaspersky is the best :)
