  1. Did any of you by chance install Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - December 2012 (KB890830) - Some members of my team have a theory that it could be somehow related as the workstations that seem to have issues installed the update (as well as a few others) around the same time.
  2. Thank you for the information. I sure hope we don't have to do that for all the workstations.
  3. Noticed this on the website - I have a feeling we may not be the only ones.. "Please note that we are experiencing extremely high call volume. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause." http://usa.kaspersky.com/support/corp
  4. I'm getting the same error - Cripples the workstations especially after a reboot. 12/17/2012 10:45:26 PM LogName=Application SourceName=Application Error EventCode=1000 EventType=2 Type=Error ComputerName=%REMOVED% TaskCategory=Application Crashing Events OpCode=Info RecordNumber=3495 Keywords=Classic Message=Faulting application name: avp.exe, version:, time stamp: 0x4b9a60ec Faulting module name: unknown, version:, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0c844fd9 Faulting process id: 0x7e4 Faulting application start time: 0x01cddcbf4a9be8a6 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations MP4\avp.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: bd859c93-48cd-11e2-8491-24be05052d2c Looks like it started at noon on Monday. We then had a HUGE number of workstations (100+) show this message at 10PM Central. Same Exception Code
  5. No, it simply says agent already installed and moves on to to the installation of KES which is where it sits for about 30 minutes.
  6. Are they XP or Win7. We have Win7 HP machines and while they are slower I haven't seen major issues thus far. However, KES8 hasn't been approved for production stations yet.
  7. Same here http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=235894
  8. Revisiting this; According to "HQ" the problem is fixed by making the following manual change. Change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\protected\KES8\settings\SystemEventLog to 1 Support already closed the case but i want to make sure this gets fixed in the product.
  9. Sorry for the delay I thought my posts were auto subscribed so i didn't think anyone responded. Connection is on the same LAN. 100Mbps.
  10. I have a deploy task created for CF1 and noticed that when trying to push the package out via Network Agent it takes 30minutes or so for the workstation to even start installing. The workstations have the latest Network Agent and everything. In the interim I've had to deploy using windows resources which had the behavior i expected. Anyone else run into this issue?
  11. Yet another reason I've been unable to push this out of a test environment...
  12. I actually have an open case (which has been open for a few months now) on this issue and thought I would take a quick poll to see if anyone else has experienced this issue. In a business environment we log whatever we can get away with and I was excited to see that in the new KES version under notifications you can tick boxes to have events save in the Windows Event Log. This is nice because we currently forward all events in Windows Logs to our logs management systems. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I had it work on 2 PC's but it's not working on any of the other PC's in the test environment. After re-installing on 1 of the 2 it no longer works so i only have 1 PC where it's correctly saving logs. What i'm trying to accomplish (this is in the Application log on the system).. Notice the source is actually "Kaspersky Endpoint Security" rather than AVP or KLNAGENT. The only other solution i have at this point is to re-deploy all of our forwarding agents to forward the events in the Kaspersky Event log. Which with KLAgent noise i would prefer not to do.
