  1. Fenderman1: Have installed KIS 2019 over KIS 2018 without losing any time left on either the old license or the new license.
  2. Fenderman1 states: Is it safe to install KIS 2019 over the KIS 2018 version as opposed to doing a full Clean install? Also, I have 17 days left on my old license before the new license kicks in. Would updating to the 2019 version of KIS cause any issue with respect to my losing any time left on either the old license and/or the new license?

  4. harlan4096: followed your instructions but when the "upload Photo/Choose single file" comes up and I press the "Choose single file", nothing happens. Likewise when I try to drag and drop the avatar photo I want to use, I get an error message. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. The new avatar is only 26.1 KB in size
  5. Want to change my Forum User Avatar in KIS 18.0.0.405 (C) but am unable to determine how to do so. Any help in doing so would be greatly appreciaed
  6. Indio: I use Windows 10 Pro and and get the same 2 Antivirus apps showing in the "Windows Action Center" as being turned on with Windows Defender being turned off. BTW, I am updated to the "Creator" version of Windows 10 Pro. Also, if you click on "Windows Firewall", it should show that "Windows Firewall" is being managed by the "Vendor Application Kaspersky Internet Security". This is normal behavior when MBAM and Kaspersky are installed as they take priority over "Windows Defender" thus turning off "Windows Defender".
  7. BTW, I use FireFox Browser 50.1.0. What browser do you use? Not sure if this GUI bug is occurring only with certain browsers or more like occurring due to those using older Windows browsers such as Windows XP with Service Pack 3, Windows 7 and/or Windows 8.1 but have a feeling it is only occurring with the older Window browsers. Know that for this reason Firefox is D/Cing support for Windows XP and Windows Vista beginning with Firefox 53 switching their focus to newer versions of Windows so we're lucky Kaspersky is still supporting older Windows platforms.
  8. Drevo198: same problem here and have been advised by Tech Support that the GUI bug will be resolved with the release of Kaspersky's 2018 version in late February or early March. For me, the problem only occurs when I boot up Windows XP with Service Pack 3. It does not occur when I boot up my Windows 10 Pro.
  9. OleGreyGhost: I'm using KIS 17 with Windows XP Home Edition and it runs fine except for a GUI bug which does not impact on the actual database update process. It explains the GUI glitch and is being worked on by Tech Support and will be fixed in the 2018 version of KIS. What version of Microsoft .Net Framework are you using? The following are the Microsoft .Net Framework updates I have on my Windows XP Home Edition: 1. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 2. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 3. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 4. Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile 5. Microsoft Report Viewer Redistributable 2008 (KB971118) 6. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 7. Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 8. Microsoft SQL Server Setup Support Files (English) 9. Microsoft SQL Server VSS Writer Additionally I use the 32-bit version of Windows XP. Do you also use the 32-bit version of Windows XP Pro or the 64-bit version? Lastly, I use the 32-bit version of Firefox 50.1.0. Do you also use the 32-bit version of Firefox 50.1.0 or possiblly are trying to run the 64-bit version of Firefox 50.1.0. I ask as I note you as stating: However the most likely culprit would be not having at least Service Pack 3 on your Windows XP Pro. Another possibility could be that your processor speed for Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition / Professional SP3 and later / Professional SP2 and later (64-bit) is not an Intel Pentium 1 Ghz or faster (or a compatible equivalent) and/or does not have at least 512 MB of available RAM.
  10. Whizard, moderator: thanks for the response. Since it's a known GUI bug, will contacting Tech support help resolve the problem? The problem only occurs when I use Windows XP. It does not occur when I boot up Windows 10 Pro.
  11. Richbuff, Global Moderator: you are correct that the issue is only after reboot and all is good after the first automatic database update. Other than contacting Tech Support, is there any setting in KIS 17.0.0.611© that can be deactivated to resolve the problem?
  12. I have KIS 17.0.0.611© on Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and it updates O.K. but states that it has not updated for the last 9 days whenever I reboot Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Cannot figure out why. Any help in resolving the problem would be greatly appreciated. BTW I am using FireFox 50.0.2 if that helps.
