Hello, Last month, I bought a new lenovo ideapad 5 and I have been using KIS with it ever since. However, one thing was driving me nuts, and it was that the computer was overheating and the fan was working like a jet engine in idle / lock screen mode. I even wanted to return the computer even though nothing seemed to be wrong with it. Today, I decided to follow the process and when the computer is in idle and the screen locks itself, obviously Kaspersky is doing something in the background making my computer go crazy. I was able to take a screenshot. What could cause this and what could be the solution. Can anyone help me please?

I just can’t find the rootkit scan in the scanning options. Any suggestions, please?

I noticed that upon startup of the computer the KIS memory usage is usually around 70mb. After using my computer, I checked again the memory usage of the KIS, its 110mb+ which cause my memory percentage to go up to 32-45% which normally upon startup and on idle is 29%. Is this normal?

I had to renew my license recently (which I already considered an “subscription” since it was time limited to 2 years. After activating it I am somewhat surprised: the new license shows explsictly as “Abo” = subscription, while the old one did not the new license was not appended after thr end date of the current license but started running immediatelyquestion 1) What is the difference between those two things? Do I have to explicitly cancel the new subscription thingy to not have it auto renew? Is there any official dodcumentation for it? question 2) why did it start even if My Kaspersky knows I already have a valid license?

I downloaded a game for a child, but downloaded it in the wrong place, and a file appeared on the computer that cannot be deleted, Kaspersky does not see this program and thinks that there is nothing wrong with it. I read on the Internet what it is, and realized that it was a virus, what should I do and how to remove it?

I purchased an Internet Security license via Ebay and the activation code was generated via a webpage called deleted Now I tried to get some product support and the Kaspersky site (for Germany?) only seems to offer support via one of two partners Digital River & Nexway. Kaspesky seems to tell me to contact one of those two to get support. Neither of them sold me the product. So what do I do? Who is my contact?

Hi, I use Kaspersky Internet Security under Windows 10 (32-bit) and use Safe Money quite a lot. It’s been working well up to now offering me a Protected mode on my chosen websites either in Chrome or the Windows browser. Recently though, I can now only select one website. If I select others, nothing happens. Windows 10 & Kaspersky are running with the latest updates. Can anyone help? Regards.

I'm running Kaspersky Internet Security, version 11.65.4.5349 and I cannot get any files to download from the web. I just installed KIS, so I'm not familiar with the settings.

I pulled my hard disk from one computer and connected it to another via USB cable so it will be an external drive that I can scan. This will allow scanning of all files as the OS isn’t being booted up on the external drive. I noticed ALOT of files are skipped on the scan.🤤 The ‘event’ recorded was mostly ‘Password Protected’ or ‘Access Denied’ for the file. How do I get the ‘Password Protected’ files scanned ? How do I get the ‘Access Denied’ files scanned ?

Hello All, Today i clicked the Virus Link By Mistake. When i click the link, it automaticly downloaded and opened (it didn’t even to ask me where to save the file) I just saw that when it came to my screen, there was 3 folders like *screenshots, *videos, *information. Files were locked but i didnt click the files or i didnt enter the password. I had no any anti-virus protection. Then i downloaded Kaspersky Internet Security and scanned my pc, there was no any infection/virus. But as i know Anti-Virus programs cant scan the locked files/winrar Do you want to add me here virus link ? It was shorted link with a shoortener. Please help me.

I’m curious about Kaspersky’s special SSL certificate that they use to intercept and analyze HTTPS traffic. Does anyone know how it works, as in, does it decrypt all traffic and send everything to Kaspersky (I should hope not)? Or is it using a local database to look at decrypted traffic to look for suspicious data?

Hi, today I downloaded Kaspersky and I did a full scan scan found 3 copies of the same file and it was not able to delete it and it was classified as not a virus, but when I looked at the software directly from the internet, there are those who count it as a virus directly, this is a virus and how to delete it Kaspersky detected it as a pua but it is active in the user type user writes what does this mean? I'm so confused. Apart from that, the computer was infected with a trojan 1 month ago, so is there a possibility that it was placed in this file later? And it has a connection with ansys SolidWorks ESET and Kaspersky perceive some of their components as pua as they are …

I have no idea why this is happening, but when i try to visit this website i am getting the following: I have tried almost everything i think but still the same thing. I’m using a desktop PC: Windows 10, Home, 64-bit. From out of nowhere, seemingly, the same error recurs: “Error during an encrypted connection scan in a Kaspersky application” (“Latest update: February 8, 2021 ID: 13720 I have not installed any new software or added any new extensions to Firefox or to MS Edge. The software product document site of the PingIdentiy is blocked by the Kespersky. I can’t see the search result with error in Document site below. https://docs.pingidentity.com/ I can see the result with the Kespersky disabled. I added the exclusion list in the Kespersky but it did’nt work. Please teach me the way how I can see the result without the Kespersky diabled.

Good morning to everyone. I have the following doubt: Regarding files anti-virus, it indicates certain unprocessed files. The files anti-virus report indicates its size as a reason. How is this possible with me having the maximum file anti-virus settings, scanning all files?

My version of Kaspersky Internet Security is 21.2.16.590(C) on a 64 bit Win 10 Home also on Win 10 Pro PC’s. I live in the U.K. and I’m concerned that I'm not using the correct National Version! If it is not corrected - does it really matter? (Or is it just keeping the lawyers happy?) Does mismatch of Version to Country create update problems? What is the correct UK version and where can I download it (link please) ? Do the national versions state which counties they are suitable for before installation?

Hello, I recently installed Kaspersky Antivirus in 6 computers at the office. Two are presenting some issues I have not seen before. The biggest problems is that in one computer with Microsoft Outlook 2019, all of a sudden all attachments come with a weird extension and it doesnt allow to preview the attachment nor to open it with the pertaining program. For example, excel attachments normally come with a .xls extension, however it is now displaying as .xls_ and you cannot open it or anything. PDFs are also coming with .pd_ I have tried searching online for thsi error but i cannot find it anywhere, and the only change made to the computer was the Kaspersky installatio…

A moderator deleted my previous post so I am reposting as this is a problem on 3 of our computers since the recent updates. The URL advisors are not working so missing from browser search results. Tried on different computers Win10 and Win7, Firefox & IE11. I have followed the moderator link and checked our settings and they are set up correctly and anyway, we have not touched them and no-one else has access to our computers.

Hi, I tried to login to My Kaspersky account in order to check my license keys but I cannot login. I provide correct e-mail and password (I use a password manager) and I DO NOT get wrong mail/password message. After entering correct login details I am redirected back to homepage my.kaspersky.com but I am not logged in. (I have tried to use Firefox and Chrome but the result is the same.) Could you help me with this someone, please. When I want to ask for technical support from the KIS software, I am directed to my.kaspersky.com. But since I cannot login, I am stuck. Thanks a lot.

I have latest version of kis and the same problem keep repeating from time to time : When kis start the exclamation mark appear and green logo become grey. Opening it I find corrupt licence information and update is running but at very very very low speed while internet speed is high , it take around 10 minutes. At the end of update , corrupt licence problem is resolved. Why is this licence problem happen and mostly why this specific update is so low while the normal one take just 1 minute . Can I get a normal start.
