	<strong>Problem description:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Hello Kaspersky Support Team,
</p>

<p>
	I would like to report a critical issue with Kaspersky Internet Security on Windows 11. Since yesterday, Chromium-based browsers have stopped browsing the Internet correctly while Kaspersky is active.
</p>

<p>
	The issue affects both Google Chrome and Brave. Windows shows that my laptop is connected to the Internet and has Internet access, but when I try to open websites from these browsers, the pages either keep loading indefinitely or fail with the following error:
</p>

<p>
	<code>ERR_CONNECTION_RESET</code>
</p>

<p>
	The browser console also shows multiple connection-related errors, such as:
</p>

<p>
	<code>net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET</code>
</p>

<p>
	The clearest case happened with Brave. I installed Brave from scratch to rule out a corrupted Chrome installation or Chrome user profile. Brave worked normally for a few minutes after installation, but then it started failing exactly like Google Chrome. This allowed me to rule out Chrome-specific corruption as the cause.
</p>

<p>
	Other browsers that are not affected by this issue can browse the Internet normally on the same laptop and using the same Internet connection.
</p>

<p>
	Before confirming that the issue is related to Kaspersky, I tried the following troubleshooting steps:
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		<p>
			Fully reinstalled Google Chrome.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Installed Brave from scratch.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Tested with new browser profiles.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Confirmed that no proxy is enabled in Windows.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Tested with dynamic DNS settings. Previously, when the issue started, I was using Google DNS: <code>8.8.8.8</code> and <code>8.8.4.4</code>.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Disabled Secure DNS in the browsers.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Disabled QUIC/HTTP3 in Chrome and Brave.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Tested with IPv6 disabled.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Flushed DNS cache and reset Windows network settings.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Scanned the computer for malware.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Tried changing Kaspersky encrypted connection scanning settings.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Temporarily disabled Kaspersky protection from its settings, but the issue persisted.
		</p>
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	The problem was resolved only when I completely turned off Kaspersky Internet Security. After fully turning off Kaspersky, Brave immediately started browsing normally again.
</p>

<p>
	This strongly suggests that one of Kaspersky’s components, services, network filters, HTTPS inspection features, firewall modules, web protection modules, or internal drivers is interfering with Chromium-based browser connections and causing <code>ERR_CONNECTION_RESET</code>.
</p>

<p>
	I do not want to browse without antivirus protection enabled, so I need help identifying exactly which Kaspersky component is causing this issue and how to fix it without fully disabling Kaspersky Internet Security.
</p>

<p>
	I am attaching screenshots showing the issue in Brave, including:
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		<p>
			A browser page failing with <code>ERR_CONNECTION_RESET</code>.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			The browser console showing multiple connection reset errors.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			YouTube showing a “Connect to the Internet” message even though the Internet connection works correctly in other browsers.
		</p>
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	Additional information:
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		<p>
			Operating system: Windows 11.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Affected product: Kaspersky Internet Security v 21.3.10.391.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Affected browsers: Google Chrome and Brave last versions.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Error type: <code>ERR_CONNECTION_RESET</code>.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			Internet works correctly in other browsers (I used perplexity comet ).
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			The issue disappears only when Kaspersky Internet Security is completely turned off.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			The issue started suddenly yesterday.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			I have used Google Chrome together with Kaspersky for years without this problem, so I suspect it may have been caused by a recent update to Kaspersky, its protection modules/databases, Windows, or Chromium.
		</p>
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	Please provide specific instructions to fix this issue without having to completely disable Kaspersky, or confirm whether there is a known issue, patch, update, or recommended configuration to resolve this incompatibility with Chromium-based browsers.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you.

	Hi there from Stripe,
</p>

<p>
	Since approximately mid-April 2026, Kaspersky's HTTPS traffic scanning/injection is breaking Stripe.js payment iframes on merchant websites. The MITM proxy alters iframe contents, which triggers Content Security Policy violations and causes browsers to block the payment frame entirely.<br />
	<br />
	  ▎ Impact: End users with Kaspersky installed cannot complete payments on sites using Stripe. Disabling only the browser extension does not help — the full Kaspersky application must be disabled.<br />
	<br />
	  ▎ Root cause: Kaspersky's web protection rewrites or injects content into cross-origin iframes served from js.stripe.com / *.stripe.com, violating the CSP headers set by Stripe.<br />
	<br />
	  ▎ Request: Please add *.stripe.com domains to the exclusion list for HTTPS scanning/injection, similar to how banking sites are typically excluded. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor — injecting into our payment frames creates both a security risk and a broken user experience.<br />

	Hello, since i updated the macbook to Sonoma, every two days or so, when i start the computer, and i go into Safari, I get the error: "A secure connection could not be established." This is because Kaspersky does not start correctly, and the 'full hard drive access' privilege is cancelled, and I have to give it access again... Why is this privilege canceled automatically? I have uninstalled Kaspersky, and reinstalled it, and the error still occurs. How can I fix it permanently? Thank you.

	Buenas, desde que actualicé el macbook a Sonoma, cada dos días o así, cuando inicio el ordenador, y me meto en Safari, me sale el error de: "No se pudo establecer una conexión segura". Esto se debe a que Kaspersky no inicia bien, y se le cancela el privilegio de 'acceso total a disco duro', y le tengo que volver a dar acceso... ¿Por qué se cancela este privilegio automáticamente? He desinstalado Kaspersky, y le he vuelto a instalar, y el error sigue ocurriéndome. ¿Cómo puedo solucionarlo definitivamente? Gracias.

	Hello everyone,
</p>

<p>
	I am facing a severe issue with Kaspersky's Firewall where it completely blocks or heavily throttles local P2P connections and low-latency local game streaming. Apps like <b>Sunshine/Moonlight</b> (local game streaming), <b>Hamachi</b>, and <b>Radmin VPN</b> (LAN emulators) cannot function properly.
</p>

<p>
	The client devices can technically "handshake" and connect to the host PC, but immediately after connecting, the video stream freezes completely, or the connection experiences <b>ridiculously high latency / packet loss</b>, making it completely unusable.
</p>

<p>
	Here is everything I have already tried to troubleshoot, which did <b>not</b> resolve the issue:
</p>

<ol start="1">
	<li>
		<p>
			<b>Network Properties:</b> Changed the network adapter type from "Public" or "Local" to <b>"Trusted Network"</b> inside Kaspersky Firewall settings.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			<b>Packet Rules:</b> Manually created Inbound/Outbound packet rules to explicitly <b>Allow</b> both <b>TCP</b> (ports 47984, 47989, 47990, 48010) and <b>UDP</b> (ports 47998, 47999, 48000, 48002, 48010) protocols, moving these rules to the very top of the priority list.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			<b>Application Rules:</b> Added the executables (like <code>sunshine.exe</code>) to the <b>"Trusted"</b> group with unrestricted network access.
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			<b>Local Subnet Rule:</b> Created a broad rule to allow all TCP/UDP traffic from/to my local subnet range.
		</p>
	</li>
</ol>

<p>
	<b>The catch:</b> Even if I temporarily <b>"Pause Protection"</b> via the Kaspersky tray icon, the restriction somehow persists in the background network drivers unless Kaspersky is completely closed or uninstalled.
</p>

<p>
	It seems Kaspersky's network inspection driver/filter is intercepting UDP broadcast/P2P traffic, treating high-bitrate local streams (around 50 Mbps) as a network attack or flooding, which causes massive packet drops and immediate freezing.
</p>

<p>
	Has anyone found a workaround for this deep-level packet filtering issue? Are there any specific hidden settings or registry tweaks to stop Kaspersky from interfering with local high-speed UDP traffic?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance.
</p>

	I mean, the instant reset Call In or Chat is out of order. Tried that many many times and no phone number or instant Chat came up. Only more of the same questionnaires over and over again and a FAQ suggestion. Users shouldn't have to wait a whole day hoping to get an email reset to use their computers when an activation needs to be reset because the other options are just so difficult to use if they haven't been discontinued. Users should be able to log into their accounts and reset their activation like so many other software companies allow. But in virus protection it's far more important to have an instant reset somewhere because sometimes we feel our whole computer is limited to sometimes very important work waiting on a big corporation to contact us one to two days later after the problem started. I know by saving the password to the computer prevents that from happening, but sometimes something happens maybe we thought it was already saved, etc and we get into this we'll help you tomorrow issue.
</p>

<p>
	Just my thoughts.

	Hi, here is the info required from the read first list:
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Step 1:</strong></u> Operating system and version info.
</p>

<p>
	O/S Version:  Win 11 Pro v25H2 (OS Build 26200.8246)
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Step 2:</strong></u> App name and version info.
</p>

<p>
	App Name:  Kaspersky Internet Security<br />
	App Version:  21.3.10.391 (m)
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Step 3:</strong></u>  Description of issue.
</p>

<p>
	Kaspersky in the system tray keeps disappearing and trying to open the app does nothing until the entire system is rebooted/restarted.
</p>

<p>
	Windows security page states "Kaspersky Internet Security is snoozed."
</p>

<p>
	Event viewer states "Updated Kaspersky Internet Security status successfully to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_SNOOZED." from source SecurityCentre twice in a row with the same timestamps followed by "Offline downlevel migration succeeded." from source Security-SPP approx 15 and again 16 minutes later.
</p>

<p>
	The only information I've found in regard to this issue states its likely caused by Microsoft windows update and to just reinstall the app, I've done that, as a clean install with the removal tool twice now and the issue persists, restarting windows frequently is not really a solution to the problem.
</p>

<p>
	Any ideas where to start?
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Postscriptum:</strong>  I should also say having exactly the same issue on a windows 11 laptop, only difference is that its win 11 home on the laptop, this situation is incredibly frustrating.
</p>

	I'm in Windows 11 Home, Kaspersky Internet Security, application version: 21.3.10.391 (m)

<p>
	For almost a week now, Discord app was stuck on eternal 'update failed, retrying' loop whenever you tried to start it up. I tried all possible fixes available only to realize it's not an issue with Discord itself but with Kaspersky. When I turn it off, Discord updates normally and is back up and running but then breaks again after some time and loading screen spinning indefinitely when Kaspersky is enabled again.
</p>

<p>
	It must've been one of the recent updates that fried it. Any ideas how to fix it? Would adding it to exemptions work? Discord seems to be installed directly in appdata but I can't seem to direct exclusion directory there.<br />
	<br />
	I've gone through my reports, there's no indicators or notifications that any part of Discord app has been quarantined or removed to do this.

	Hi,
</p>

<p>
	Suddenly my Firefox is giving a <strong>Secure Connection Failed error</strong>.
</p>

<p>
	Upon some googling from Chrome, I found that some settings/certificate issues in Kaspersky may cause this. So, I tried exiting Kaspersky Internet Security and Firefox works as usual.
</p>

<p>
	I am using:
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		Windows 11 Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.2070)
	</li>
	<li>
		Firefox 116.0.1
	</li>
	<li>
		Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391 (K)
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	How can I fix the issue?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks
</p>

	I'm using Kaspersky for more than two decades but it's time to say goodbye. It was my weapon of choice in war against all sort of intruders, but now it started to act as one of them. No more privacy protection, no more control. Kaspresky started to act as my computer is their own. I have no rigts to choose anything. They'll do that for me.
</p>

<p>
	Kaspersky acting like they pay to me for using their products. I'm not in control anymore. If I want to use 2015 version - I can't. Why? Because there is a guy (concerned moderator) who will say - it will be a nonsense. Why do you care mate? I paid for this product, I'll use it the way I want. If I'm not following your recommendations, I can't blame you for potential damage, but let me choose. I'm the one who is giving the money for the product, not you.
</p>

<p>
	Right now I got a notification. And that was the last straw. New version will be installed on my computer. I got two options - to download and install it now or to download and install it in the background. Are you serious? Is there a question - DO you want to install new version? No? Why? Because Kaspersky pays me for using their product?

	I have been using KIS for a decade, maybe more, but I strongly disliked to be forced out of KIS2018 last year.
</p>

<p>
	Newer version is slow, over-bloated, filled with irremovable telemetry, unwanted intrusion in my browser and other apps.
</p>

<p>
	All I use in KIS is the intrusion prevention module, I disable everything else because it never finds anything and is just slowing down the PC for no reason.
</p>

<p>
	My logs have never shown any blocked intrusion by the way, does this mean I can safely uninstall KIS of do the logs not show blocked intrusion attempts?
</p>
