avg.exe causes cpu to overheat and fan to go nuts in idle mode

Hello, 

Last month, I bought a new lenovo ideapad 5 and I have been using KIS with it ever since. However, one thing was driving me nuts, and it was that the computer was overheating and the fan was working like a jet engine in idle / lock screen mode. I even wanted to return the computer even though nothing seemed to be wrong with it. Today, I decided to follow the process and

when the computer is in idle and the screen locks itself, obviously Kaspersky is doing something in the background making my computer go crazy. I was able to take a screenshot. What could cause this and what could be the solution. Can anyone help me please?

Hello, I think that your best bet is to have Tech Support review your logs. Tech Support will let you know how to send them logs that they need. Please contact Tech Support. link is located near the top of this webpage.

It has this Lenovo Vantage app, but otherwise KIS is the only safety application. I have contacted Kaspersky technical support. We are trying to find a solution to this. I will edit my post as soon as we find a solution.
