    Kaspersky has had long standing security measures in place for *transactions that require verification*, reference: What to do in case of payment issues when buying a license or subscription?

    1. Make sure the details entered, such as bank card number, name and zip code, are correct.
    2. Update your payment details if your bank card has expired, refer: How to change your payment details or email you specified when buying a license for a Kaspersky application
    3. If the payment was declined, try another payment method. For example, a different bank card OR direct bank transfer. 
    4. If the payment page is displayed incorrectly, try opening it in the incognito (private browsing) mode.
    5. If after completing the purchase you receive a request for additional information, for example, a photo of your ID, then you may have entered some details incorrectly. Please provide the required additional information or make another order with correct details.

    1. Clear the browser history/cache
    2. Uncheck Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages - This script ensures the operation of such components as Safe Money, Private Browsing, Anti-Banner, and URL Advisor.
    3. Shutdown the computer using Shutdown, not Restart, power on by pressing the power-button, login, recheck?

    Another thing you may wish to consider, upgrading/converting Kaspersky Total Security (KTS) to Kaspersky Plus, the upgrade is free, KTS will eventually become obsolete; Kaspersky have not yet announced an end-date; but the new software line replacing KAV, KIS, KTS & KSC is almost complete; the upgrade is like-for-like - that means - what KTS has - Kaspersky Plus will have:

    • AV.
    • Kaspersky Premium Password Manager.
    • Kaspersky Safe Kids, 1 year subscription. 
    • Kaspersky VPN, Standard/Free subscription.

    I always shutdown (using Macrium Reflect backup which has a shutdown instruction and I always receive an email). For example today I shutdown and had to press my power on button to startup and on entering Windows password the KPM password window didn't pop up but on right clicking the taskbar I can see KPM is green and not grey and it opens without requiring the password.

    Version is 24.0.0.428 (a) / 1712576387_7582 / 1.1.0.2_1. All was working well asking me on startup for the main password, until approximately 2 days ago when presumably there was an update to the KPM app.

    We see v24.0.0.428 (a), indicating a patch for KPM, sadly Kaspersky stopped publishing Patch release information, refer: Release history; apparently there are plans to start publication of Patch release information again, however we have no idea when this will begin. 

    1. Create a System restore point
    2. Create a KPM backup -> Create Copy
    3. Uninstall KPM
    4. Shutdown, using SHUTDOWN, not Restart and not Macrium, power computer ON by pressing the power-button, login. 
    5. Download a new KPM installer: https://www.kaspersky.com/password-manager#installation.
    6. Install KPM
    7. Shutdown, using SHUTDOWN, not Restart and not Macrium, power computer ON by pressing the power-button, login. 
    8. Recheck that KPM is not opening unless the MASTER password is entered? 
    9. IF KPM opens *automatically*, without (you) manually entering the MASTER password & OR Windows Hello, Face ID or any other authentication method, log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts  - on the support page, select either Chat or Email, then fill in the template as shown in the image below; please include a video of the error & a *detailed history*.     1. Did the message come at that time on each three occasions? 
    2. Without doing an analysis of the system it's impossible to say & it's impossible to do an analysis as there's a Community guideline (to protect all Community members) that logs/data are not to be submitted to the Community; any such information must go to Kaspersky Customer Service.

    Prompt for main password when launching Kaspersky Password Manager automatically:

    This checkbox enables/disables prompting for the main password each time Kaspersky Password Manager starts automatically.

    If the checkbox is selected, Kaspersky Password Manager prompts you to unlock the vault each time the application starts automatically. If the checkbox is cleared, Kaspersky Password Manager does not prompt you to unlock the vault each time the application starts automatically.

    This checkbox is only available if the Start Kaspersky Password Manager at operating system startup checkbox is selected.

    1. IF the PC is powered OFF, using SHUTDOWN, not Restart and then powered ON by pressing the power-button & after (you) login, does KPM still not request the MASTER password?

    I guess the warning is the out of date databases.

    But why is this, why do I need to manually update? Normally it works fine ... but as said, this is now the 3rd time.
    I previous had Internet Security and found it a way better product than Plus, never had this issue. Only now with Plus.

    Pressing the Update button solves the problem .. but why doesn't it do in automagically?
    Or better, normally it always does it automagically, but sometimes NOT.

    • This answer is in three parts, if we read:
    1. Kaspersky FAQ, Can I buy a license for an arbitrary period or choose a different number of devices (e.g. for 4 devices or a 3-year period)?, it says: "Such a possibility is not provided. You can choose the most suitable combination of the number of devices you want to protect and the license term on the Kaspersky website."
    2. However, in Kaspersky's most recent Premium, Plus & Standard - What's new in the latest version?, there's the following advice: "Now you can increase the number of devices that can be protected with your subscription. Not all users have access to this option."

    3. And, IF (your) Premium subscription is for more than *one User* - not *Device*, you may *already* be able to download the Kaspersky Anti-virus and VPN installer from Google Play Store & connect the application to (your) MyKaspersky Premium subscription - has this been tried? 
    • In relation to point 2. we've logged a request with Kaspersky, for clarification, we'll update with any information, when it's available.
    • IF point 3 has not been attempted please do so & post back the outcome?

There's a generic guide: What to do if Kaspersky for Mac functions incorrectly, reading thru your notes, it seems you done some of it, you may wish to read:  Prepare for installation, just to make sure there's no incompatible applications or go straight to logging a case with Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts - fill in the template as shown below.     2. Also, there's quite a lot of web chatter about macOS Sonoma 14.4 & slow login times so perhaps raise the issue with Apple Technical support as well?

    1. Has the Kaspersky VPN ever worked since you reported Kaspersky VPN application not working on Macos, March 21st, 2024 & Danila T. assisted? 
    2. When you press on the VPN icon & select connect & the VPN does not connect - what error shows - we need to see what you see - post a screen-print please?
    3. Is the Kaspersky VPN application logged into with (your) email address, the same email address that is used to log into (your) MyKaspersky account?

    • Management of devices needs to be done from (your) router. 
    1. Read & follow: How to deny network access for a device
    • When access is denied the Smart Home Monitor will no longer show the Unknown device/s, however, the Unknown device in the image also has General Electric Consumer an.. - are there any *smart* devices in the home that the Router may be detecting & the Smart Home Monitor reporting - a refrigerator, speakers, TV, something else?
    • Is there a home *network*?
