    It's not possible for the Community to give advice about third-party merchants selling Kaspersky software but we'll share these observations, the Kaspersky Security Cloud free version you speak of is: v2021.03.10.391, dated: Feb 8th, 2022. As we advised in your previous topic, Kaspersky Security Cloud free has been replaced by Kaspersky's *new* Kaspersky Free for Windows®, v21.17.7.539.0.26.0, dated: 8th ‎September ‎2023

    We've already assured you about the protection of Kaspersky's software in your previous topic: What do I do when the license expires? When the license expires, I want to continue with the free version of Kaspersky Security Cloud

    Has the *original* Kaspersky Security Cloud expired?

    IF the answer is YES, in (your) MyKaspersky account, in the Devices tab, has Kaspersky Security Cloud been removed?

    IF the answer is YES, please go to the next point:

    Is the email you're using the same email that was used for Kaspersky Security Cloud? 

    IF the answer is YES, please try another email address.

    Thank you for posting back & the extra question! And - it's wonderful to read - The screenshot is now black, so I guess it works! - that's a very good outcome - well done!!

    We first raised the issue with HQ experts in 2022, their final resolution came thru Feb 29th 2024, as follows: 

    "You may find the SM documentation below in the section "About protection against screenshots" mentioning that screen capture with spyware is not possible:

    About protection of financial transactions and online purchases.

    In this case, only software based screen capture activities are blocked. The ability to take a screenshot is only possible by physically pressing the "PrtScr" key when it is needed by the user at the computer.

    It is also mentioned elsewhere in the "On-Screen Keyboard" section that screen capture using the "PrtScr" key cannot be prevented:

    About On-Screen Keyboard."

    We checked, the same information is also documented for v21.3 & the function worked as per design (for us), for that version too.

    Thank you for posting back & the information! 

    IF (you) are taking screenprints with the Safe Money browser open & pressing the Print-Screen Key on the Keyboard - according to the experts from HQ this is working exactly as per design = it's working properly in all elements, however, IF (you're) using a *print-screen* function from a third-party application & the Safe Money browser & the images shows an image(s), i.e., the screen is not black - according to the HQ experts - this is *not* working as designed. 

    This information is also documented for v21.3, v21.6, v21.7 etc, etc....

    We've discussed this issue in a logged case - in the past with HQ: SafeMoney & PrintScreen do work & SafeMoney, On-Screen Keyboard & PrintScreen also do work, i.e. screen-prints are not *black*. 

    HQ experts advised: "software-based screen capture activities are blocked. The ability to take a screenshot is only possible by physically pressing the "PrtScr" key when it is needed by the user at the computer."

    @cesarD, we agree with @nexon, IF Kaspersky Standand is available in (your) region, it's advisable to upgrade. The software is available to download from this link: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product

    Kaspersky has replaced KIS & with Kaspersky Standard, there's no information available atm as to when KIS will be withdrawn; information about the *new* software range can be read here: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Danila T.

    Thank you for posting back & the extra question!

    When the *existing* license expires, it may be in limited functionality mode - it should revert to the free version, however, we prefer to uninstall the *old* software, at the end of the uninstall, shutdown the computer using SHUTDOWN, not Restart, power the computer ON by pressing the power-button login, download Kaspersky Free for Windows® from Kaspersky's Global website & install.

    No such information for Kaspersky Free exists atm. 

    1. Previously there was, it was stopped approximately 18 months ago & replaced by What's new in the latest version of the application; you'll notice that this What's new for Kaspersky Free is for 21.3 & is out of date; the issue has been logged & is in hand with Kaspersky experts. Secondly, the What's new does not document Patches, that issue is in hand for a future update, as per Danila T., reference, topic by @nexon Release info
    2. The Kaspersky for Windows, What's new in the latest version of the application, April 5th, 2024, ID 119653, has some Kaspersky Free items mentioned. 
    3. In the German language Forum, Moderator @Schulte publishes: Patchstand der aktuellen KL-Produkte - a valuable archive. 
    4. For *upcoming versions* the Beta channel is the best source of information: Beta Testing Products for Home & Business, select from News, Information & or other topics that may interest you.

    We're unable to replicate the issue. 

    1. Please share the *full* Windows 11 OS & build information, read: How to find the version of your operating system?
    2. Please update the Kaspersky Free Anti-virus bases: How to start an update of databases and application modules
    3. Check if the issue persists, IF it does, please shutdown the computer using SHUTDOWN not Restart, when the computer if fully OFF - power ON by pressing the power button, login. 
    4. Run *another* Database update
    5. Recheck if KF is still blocking infinityscans? 
    6. Recheck in *all* supported browsers - Edge, Firefox, Chrome - does HEUR:Trojan-PSW.Script.Generic show in *all* browsers?

    Thank you for the update; it's pleasing to hear Kaspersky is working well & is not intrusive. 

    FYI, the latest version 21.7 is being *progressively distributed*; version & patch updates are distributed *silently*, when the version arrives it will wait for 7 days / 168 hrs. -> if the computer is not rebooted in that period notifications will appear in (your) Kaspersky Standard application Notification center & possibly in Windows Notifications center (can't remember for Win 7 - but all things being equal we'd expect so) & the Kaspersky icon, in the Windows *hidden* icons will be red; in case those indicators appear in the next few months.

    1. The credentials.ovpn file can be zipped *but* using Kaspersky's documented process to generate the file does not do that.

    1. Has Apple been contacted at all?  
    2. For User1, only do that if you have a full *verified* backup & if you're not sure please consult Apple to assist you - this step is out-of-scope for Kaspersky. 
    3. (ioo) Gmail & Drop-box will be associated with User1 profile, so may not rectify until the issue with User1 is resolved.

    1. Just so we have a clear understanding please, after *uninstalling* Kaspersky - the issue: with user1 "everything stops working. No apps function, and Chrome displays "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED", continues, that's with no Kaspersky software installed? 
    2. Did Kaspersky support say *whos* responsibility it was? 
    3. When investigating, did Kaspersky support request any logs, traces OR other data? 
    4. Please post the incident reference number for the request logged with Kaspersky support - it's prefixed with INC000*
    5. Has User1 been deleted & re-created? 
    6. Flush DNS, follow these steps:

    a.  Open the Terminal window
    b. Type:
    sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
