  1. Good question; the last time I was not gaming at all. Just left my PC for some time and when I got back I noticed the message. So I guess I just have to see if this was the issue (Game Mode) or when it happens again, I need to pay more attention on what I was doing (or not doing). PS .. it's not a laptop but just some normal PC and I did not enable Battery Saver (as there is no reason for it).
  2. So I guess I need to wait until it happens again? I will also check the steps as mentioned in the link about databases issues. PS .. just some remark; I had Gaming mode enabled but was NOT gaming at the moment I got this message about database. I now disabled it. Does this mean that Gaming detection is just not working?
  3. This is the 3rd time that Windows 11 is giving me a warning that Kaspersky Plus is out of date. When I open Kaspersky Plus I see: Databases are out of date - 1 Warning I guess the warning is the out of date databases. But why is this, why do I need to manually update? Normally it works fine ... but as said, this is now the 3rd time. I previous had Internet Security and found it a way better product than Plus, never had this issue. Only now with Plus. Pressing the Update button solves the problem .. but why doesn't it do in automagically? Or better, normally it always does it automagically, but sometimes NOT. What is wrong?
  4. It was not easy to find, but indeed there is a list of all the websites with Run Protected Browser, and from there I can indeed turn it off by setting to "Do not run Protected Browser". It shows how complicated the settings are and not logic (for me). But the problem is not for one website, so disabling Safe Money is for me the only option. Thanks for your help, much appreciated. (removed typo)
  5. Note sure ... but only "Do not run Protected Browser" is NOT working. I had to disable Safe Money as well (as mentioned above).
  6. Hmmm .. it doesn't answer my question. Do I need to disable Safe Money, or is "Do not run Protected Browser" enough? Because if I disable Safe money, it doesn't matter if enable/disable any options under it.
  7. I'm really fat-up with Protected Browser as it takes ages (more than 15 seconds) to access the page. Before you ask; yes, I contacted support as well and they want all kind of things I do not have time for. I guess the mean reason is the VPN connection they make to make it safe(?), which just takes to long. But in Internet Security I had no problems, it did not take so much time to get the Protected Browser and its content. In both cases I use the latest FireFox version if you wonder.... I also read the forum and as Plus is new for me (had Internet Security before), I find it hard to get to the right settings (you need to use search all the time). But I did find "Do not run Protected Browser" under Safe Money settings which I enabled. But can I leave Safe Money enabled, or do I need to disable this as well? I just want the delay to the Protected Browser gone etc. Any advise is welcome. PS .. am I the only person with this issue? I did read more people notice this that the "Protected Browser" takes long time to start... Thanks, Matthijs
  8. In summary: It's not possible to add new device types. I do like the idea to suggest this as feedback, will do that. But I hope they will do a better job in detection of device types. Thanks, Matthijs
  9. That is a bit falls hope as it will only notify you and you need to the action (blocking) yourself. Correct me if I'm wrong. But it's good to be notified about changes, like new devices in the network. I only wish there was a way to add types other than the default. I now realise this is not possible. For me, a lot where defined as "Unknown device" type, even if the Vendor field would give you a clue (like RPi Vendor = Raspberry Pi Trading Ltd).
  10. New to the Plus version and looking into the Smart Home Monitor tool. What I miss is adding device types other than the defaults. Is there any way to add like these: Network Switch or WLAN (not a router) VoIP Phone (not mobile but like DECT) I also wonder what type a Raspberry Pi (Computer?) or Amazon Echo Dot would be, as these are now also have the "Unknown device" type status.
