Users can stop Flash Drive scanning without password

Recommended Posts

Dear All,

we are having problem at our user end that when they attached the USB / FLASH drive to their computers, kaspersky start scanning as per policy but end user can stop it at anytime when they want. However, we wanted to deploy a policy where if user try to stop the scanning , it first need to enter user name and password or just password . This way only admin or few people can have this feature and no user can stop the scanning at will. Please see the attached file as well. Do let me know if anyone got any resolution for this issue.

SP2 protection architecture does not allow anymore to protect that automated on-demand virus scan. This means that the only way to avoid a user may stop the scan is to hide the scan itself. In order to do so you have you ask for a PrivateFix via CompanyAccount helpdesk portal.
