Recommended Posts

I am using Kaspersky Admin  kit 10 to manage my company's workstations that are using Kaspersky Endpoint Security for windows 10.3.0.6294 and i need to block the download of any .exe file for all users. Can anybody help me with this i have tried to configure a web control rule also tried from the Firewall settings with no success. Thank you all in advance

Thank you for your reply but i have already done this with no success. Is there any other configuration steps that should be done? I have attached the rule that i have made and i am sure that it is enforced on all workstations but they can still download .exe files. I have added the result from a workstation with the applied rule (But still can download .exe files normally)

I have got the answer guys :) i was able to download the .exe files because i was downloading from https websites like

https://www.forticlient.com/downloads

https://sourceforge.net/projects/lanmsngr/?source=typ_redirect

https://www.win-rar.com/postdownload.html?&L=0&Version=64bit

And unfortunately Kaspersky only prevents the download from http sites. So if you tried to download from http site the download will be blocked and you will get a popup as the one i have attached.

Also i have informed that they are working on an update for this in the new releases of Kaspersky so we can be able to prevent downloading .exe files from all websites but they don't know when this will be published :( I hope it will be soon. Thank you all
