Tuvaro Threat

3 posts in this topic

Recently my PC has been infected by Tuvaro, a browser hijacker which provides web, images and videos search.

My KIS 2013 can even detect nor clean it.

I am quite disappointed with Kaspersky.

I am looking forward a solution from Kaspersky on this matter.

How did you figure out that your PC was infected if KIS didn`t detect the threat?

Could you please provide newvirus@kaspersky.com with a sample of this malware so it could be added to DB?

Because his browser is hijacked? :)

In addition to what Nikolay Arinchev instructs in the post above,

After you send your sample to the Lab,

Settings > Advanced settings (cardboard box icon) > Threats and exclusions > Detection types > Settings > enable Other > ok>ok, and do a databases update > reboot,

then do a scan. After that, please uninstall any and all junk toolbars > reboot, and uninstall/disable any and all junk browser add-ons and extensions, then remove any and all junk

search providers in your browsers, then if need be, change your home page.

If still no go, please see: Kaspersky Lab Forum > English User Forum > Virus-related issues > the first Important topic. There, you will find instructions for logs.

Please see the small print that is located at the bottom of this message.
