License violation and program crash

Recommended Posts

Today it happened with my Win7x64 computer, too. "License is not valid" and then "Protection is not running" (PURE turned itself off), "Unable to start tasks", "End user license agreement has been violated". Reboot and the license is OK again. Other users have told it is sufficient to close PURE and then restart the program.

I have had a similar issue with my WinXP (32bit) computer. I now trying to collect information from all available logs, and then submit my observations, so precisely I am able to, to the KL helpdesk. It is my hope that we as users, in this way, can contribute to a solution.

In the meantime: An advice from user to user, do not leave your computer unattended when you are connected to the Net. Disable your Internet connection before you are leaving your computer. You never know when the break-down occurs.

I started experiencing the same difficulty today on a WIN7 Ult 64 machine. Pure 2.0 will run for 20 minutes to an hour, then turn itself off with the same license nonsense. So far I have been able to stop Pure 2.0 with the exit command in the right-click menu, then restart it. No idea what is the common occurrence that is stopping the program. Since my last reboot, the only thing I've loaded (other than drivers, etc.) has been Google Chrome.

You are not alone with this one. I have had the same problem with Garmin Updater Pure 2.0 crashes, license violation - restart and all is well. Needed to send several reports to Kaspersky Lab last night.

Correct, we are not alone.

From the Russian forum I understand that the KL representatives are aware of the problem. Just tell us if information from the users is wanted. What can we do to contribute to a solution?

Hi,

I have had the same issue, but on internet security 2012. I got a KIS (??) popup screen during an IE session

Both KIS & MSSE were inactive, NO Protection !!!

When I tried to get to KIS support, via IE9, it failed with '502 bad gateway'

I have also noticed that the KIS desktop widget, is sometimes grey, or green, for no apparent reason ???

did a reboot & full scan - Clean

Then on another PC downloaded 'MS defender offline' & made boot CD, then booted affected PC & did full MS scan, again clean.

Looks like a KIS system cock up, or short term action virus?

Info on '502 bad gateway' error sent to KIS

It seems to me KIS has the wrong approach on this issue.

When an apparent, ( & in this case false), error occurs between the license / database, It seems that KIS choose to disable all user protection.

Surely the better approach is to maintain the protection, whilst the issue is investigated.

A fail safe approach, rather than a punitive one.

This situation is unacceptable to me as a user, & leaves me wondering if I can continue to trust KIS for A/V protection.

I realise how difficult tracking viruses is & recognise that their will be problems, but your approach seems to include an additional self inflicted trojan, which does your customers no good!

Try this.

1. Right click on the grayed out Kaspersky K (lower right bottom side of screen) and select EXIT.

2. Go to START > ALL PROGRAMS > Kaspersky Pure 2.0 folder. Click on the red K for Kaspersky Pure 2.0.

This has got me going a couple of times with the license issue.
