Your original post says :

1 > ... install kaspersky internet security "on my friends PC" ...

2 > ... "my computer hangs" ...

Does this mean you try to install KIS from your PC on your friend's PC

or did you mean (2) "my friend's computer" hangs ....

Please also post your Gsi link.

In addition to what Berny instructed above,

1) Activate Windows, and

2) Use a Kaspersky installer that is officially Released version/build, and that is from the Official source.

After doing both 1) and 2), Any better?

1) Where are the results of what Berny instructed?

2) Did you activate Windows?

Your gsi report shows that there is something very wrong with the version of Kaspersky that you are trying to install. GSI report shows that the Kaspersky installer that you are using is a beta or modified or not from the official source.

4) Please run gsi again and create a new gsi report, then post the link to the new report. Not the raw text, but the parsed report link, the way Berny instructed.
