saupdate.exe is it safe ?

Recommended Posts

Hello

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and i'm getting a "flashing shield" on my proces line (at the bottom of my screen) when i hover my mouse pointer over it i a small wind which say something like SAUPDATE.EXE requests my permission (to install)

I have done a google search to figure out what SAUPDATE.EXE is and here is what i found:

http://filetonic.com/exe/results/saupdate

Question: do i need this ?

Hi

Yes i could post a screenshot, however, i don't think that it is necessary, because all i'm getting is a standard windows message box asking me if will allow the program to be installed.

The only thing i find a bit odd is that the vendor is unknown.

I have allowed it to be installed, but it keeps on popping and asking me to install every time i turn on my computer - that might be a bit suspicious.

I have done a full scan, but KIS hasn't detected anything.

Also, when i do a search for it on my harddrive i get a path a program i have called Super Ad Blocker and when hovering my mouse pointer over the two small icons i can see that the labels says:

File description: SuperAdBlocker.com update application

I have an ongoing support issue with Super Ad Blocker and the next time i get in touch with them i'll ask them why i keep getting this message.
