  1. Wrong! After expiration, there was no way to enter a new activation code. I kept being directed to the Renewal webpage, where a credit card was required to purchase a renewal. No options to activate with a new activation code. I've been dealing with Kaspersky since 2005. Your protection may be great, but encountering problem after problem over the years is very frustrating. I have uninstalled Kaspersky and installed Avast. If anyone on this forum can give me correct instructions as to how to download KIS and use the activation code on my gift subscription booklet, I will consider returning to Kaspersky. Otherwise, see ya later...
  2. I notice that the "activation ID" is in the format XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX and the "Activation Code" on my gift subscription is in the format XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. Will this create problems?
  3. I have Windows 10 with KIS 2016 and my subscription expires on September 12. I received a gift of KIS 2016 in a package with no CD, just the activation code. I terminated my auto renewal. What is the correct procedure to install KIS 2016 under the new gift subscription? Should I uninstall the old version so it won’t use my old credit card information and will let my use the activation code instead?
  4. I talked with a live Kaspersky rep and was given a link. To find the activation code, it needed my email address and the last 5 digits of the credit card used to purchase the application. Since the purchase, I was issued a new credit card with computer chip and therefore don't have the old credit card number. What do I do to get the activation code? Isn't there a way to get the activation code using the license number (key)?
  5. I purchased it from the online store, but I have no email with an activation code. I checked My Kaspersky and there is no activation code listed there. How do I contact the support staff?
  6. I wish to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 before the July 29 deadline. Must I uninstall Kaspersky Internet Security before the upgrade? If so, what is the quickest and safest method of re-installing it after the upgrade? Should I write down the key?
  7. The prior thread on this topic has been locked. I don't know if Kaspersky has developed a patch yet to solve the problem of being unable to add favorites to IE 11 when running Kaspersky IS 2016, but searching other forums, I found this temporary workaround successful on my computer running Windows 8.1: In IE 11: Tools/Internet Options/Security tab/Uncheck Enable Protected Mode box/OK Restart IE 11 Add website(s) to Favorites Re-Enable Protected Mode using above procedure.
  8. This has been done: request number: INC000005064744 If the problem can't be resolved before my protection lapses, I will have no choice but to dispute and deny the credit card charge for failure to deliver what I paid for, uninstall Kaspersky, and find another anti-virus program.
  9. What the hell? When I go to My Kaspersky and click on LICENSES, It says "364 days remaining". I click on "Details", I get a screen that gives the activation code in my renewal email, and says it was "Activated on: 9/12/2014 3:42:48 PM". Yet when I open the application it says SUBSCRIPTION EXPIRED!!!
  10. I can't find anyplace to enter the activation code in the application, so I went to My Kaspersky and entered it and I get the message "Activation code has already been used."!! The application main window now says "Application expired on 9/13/2015 11:59:59 PM". NOW WHAT?? I paid for the renewal and now I can't get it activated. If someone can't help me get this resolved quickly, I request a refund of my renewal and will find an anti-virus application that doesn't make things so difficult!
  11. The activation email states "No action is required." But the email includes an Activation Code. Is this the old or new activation code? Am I required to enter it into the application to activate it? If so, how do I do this?
  12. I have two buttons: "Verify subscription status" and "Visit service provider website". When I click the "Verify subscription status" button, I get the message "Activation code is not suitable for this application." It now says "Subscription: expires today". How do I prevent termination of protection by midnight tonight??
  13. I renewed my subscription for Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 on September 2. The confirming email says "updated expiration date may take up to 24 hours to be reflected in your product." It is now 9 days later and the application says "Subscription: 2 days remaining". Do I have a problem???
