Safe Money only runs on Explorer

Hey rfmeaux, Re "Is it possible to change the Windows Opsys to Edge?" Cheers!
  2. Hey Minimalist, Thanks for replying. The rules were created automatically by Kaspersky software, some dating back 5 years, selecting [Clean up] "cleaned up" 29 unknown apps. Shame the software doesn't produce a confirmation report, unlike other comparable products, not only is a report generated to allow users to select or unselect any identified apps prior to hitting the [Clean up], a confirmation report after the process has run allows users to track any issues. Cheers!
  3. Hey JJohnston, don't be embarrassed. More than happy to help. I'll pm you with a full "step by step" doco for each: Full reset of browser/s Full reset of KIS application Just allow me a little time to write it up please. Cheers!
  4. Hey Pica, True this is common when [Safe Money] is active, however, not otherwise. I have an INC under investigation with the lab. Cheers!

Re [Do I need all of them?] (imo) anyone who doesn't use [Safe Money] for any/all financial web "stuff" may as just as well post all financial info in/on any & every possible place on the net/web, equivalent to skyjumping without a parachute. 6. Hey JJohnston, From the testing, if Anti-Banner is on, no ads appear. However, as identified by various forum posts there are some existing issues with (a)Edge/Kaspersky application(s), that being the case it's difficult to know where the issues you've highlighted are coming from. And, as you say, "KIS was working really well for a long time, stopping all ads on YouTube". So, if you've only used Edge then (a) would not be applicable. Re "Could something have sneaked in while KIS was off?" Have you done a full reset of browser/s? If not, first export [bookmarks], [favourites] &[settings], then perform full browser reset. Have you done a full reset of KIS application? Again export KIS application[settings], then perform a full application reset. Please let us know if this helps? Cheers!
  7. Hey Minimalist, Do you know if the list "cleaned up" apps are reported/logged somewhere? Checked app [Reports] - not there. Logging is on [C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab/x] - not there. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Cheers!
  8. #also# Hey JJohnston, I'm running some tests on this; just so I'm comparing apples to apples, are you using Chrome? Any other browser? & what Kis version please? Please let us know when you have time? Thanks! Cheers!
  9. Hey sh4dow, I've come up against this issue many times. The only way (for users) to complete the "embedded" survey/s is to exit the Kaspersky application completely. I've tried adding exclusions for specific paths etc, all unsuccessful. To deal specifically with the path you've mentioned you could try contacting Kaspersky Lab Technical Support: https://center.kaspersky.com, they may come up with a solution that doesn't involve shutting down the "security" application completely. Cheers!
  10. Kaspersky Lab Technical Support advice, today: Thursday, 7 March 2019 13:04 quote "Right now, our experts are still working on BR#3214641. Rest assure that our experts are still working to have a long term solution. At the moment this bug is still ongoing and we do not have any updates from the experts on the resolution since that they are still coordinating with Google about this. I would say that we can relate this to the Kaspersky application, it is now being worked out by our program application team." unquote https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2019/03/stable-channel-update-for-chrome-os.html Tuesday, March 5, 2019 Stable channel has been updated to 72.0.3626.122 (Platform version: 11316.165.0) for most Chrome OS devices.

#also# Hey masteryoda1041, BEFORE performing ANY recovery/re-install of ANY software: [backup]/[export] configuration/settings files. As indio said: it's not possible AFTER a recovery/re-install/clean install is performed. Cheers!
Saluti!
  13. Hey blockdojo, It's not a virus! You don't need virus-utility-tools! It's a known bug, Kaspersky have allocated "BR#3214641", last known status "pending".
