  1. Hi Ivan, The incident number is INC000008915037 Kind regards, Luke
  2. Hi, I will open a ticket through our company account and upload the GSI files this way. Thanks for your help.
  3. Hi, I cannot download the latest Skype because the Windows Store doesn't connect to the Internet. You can't seem to download Skype from the Internet (it tells you to get it from the store). Please provide some instructions on how to run the GSI report and I will do that and upload it here.
  4. Hi, We have Windows 10 computers running Kaspersky Endpoint 10.2.5.3201 (mr3) and find that Skype and Windows Store will not work. Skype gets to the username and password but then says it cannot connect. If we disable Kaspersky Endpoint, these programs work. We cannot add exclusions because the paths for these style of app programs changes whenever an upgrade is run. Please let me know what information is required to troubleshoot and resolve this issue. Luke
  5. Hi all, Running KES10 on our corporate computers and found about 10 machines or so as of last week started reporting hundreds of 'Processing Error - Reason: Read Error' for what seemed to be any process running or trying to run on the machine. It seems a reboot fixes the problem, but it did cause quite a scare - and I have not seen behavior like this before, especially across so many computers. The first report was 21/9/17 at approx 3:30PM AEST Did anyone else see something like this in the past few days? Thanks
  6. Yes and it works when KSN is enabled. My problem is that this seems like a LOT of data to send to Kaspersky from all of our workstations, when in reality I just need definitions of trusted programs, not an analysis of my programs.
  7. On the properties of the Administration server, I have enabled the KSN proxy server settings to 'Use administration server as a proxy server' AND 'I agree to participate in the KSN'. I have then turned off the KSN settings in the policy applied to my test laptop. After a reboot, the test laptop cannot create some protected file types. I suspect that KSN needs to be enabled for any machines which are going to use this feature. Enabling the setting on the server is not sufficient.
  8. If I enable this setting on the administration server - is it going to behave the same as enabling it on client machines (in regards to the amount of data sent to Kaspersky Network)? Or will this be isolated only to the Administration server sending data to Kaspersky networks? Thanks for your reply
  9. I enabled KSN on the test computer and NOW Excel can create an XLS file and Snipping Tool can save a screenshot on the laptop with Application Privilege Control ENABLED. So without KSN, we cannot use this feature - do you know why? It seems to me like KSN sends too much information to Kaspersky for me to feel comfortable using it for all of our computers.
  10. Thanks for your reply - I checked Control Panel / Programs and Features.. the only Microsoft Office applications installed are 'Microsoft Office 2010 Standard' and 'Microsoft Visio 2010 Standard' As for the log export, I have pasted those entries in a previous post, but they are below again. Let me know if that is the information you wanted or did you mean some other export? 7/03/2017 10:28 Application Privilege Control rule triggered Application Privilege Control Microsoft Excel Blocked: xls Create C:\USERS\LUKE\DOCUMENTS\TESTBOOKFAIL.XLS xls 7/03/2017 10:28 Application Privilege Control rule triggered Application Privilege Control Microsoft Excel Allowed: My documents2 Create C:\USERS\LUKE\DOCUMENTS\TESTBOOKFAIL.XLS My documents2 7/03/2017 10:28 Application Privilege Control rule triggered Application Privilege Control Microsoft Excel Blocked: xls Create C:\USERS\LUKE\DOCUMENTS\TESTBOOKFAIL.XLS xls 7/03/2017 10:28 Application Privilege Control rule triggered Application Privilege Control Microsoft Excel Allowed: My documents2 Create C:\USERS\LUKE\DOCUMENTS\TESTBOOKFAIL.XLS My documents2
  11. SOME MORE INFORMATION- I have attached three screenshots showing: Excel is a TRUSTED APPLICATION Excel is being BLOCKED from creating a PROTECTED FILE TYPE - log attached Excel is also listed as a LOW RESTRICTED program In addition to this, I could NOT SAVE any screenshots using the snipping tool which is provided with Windows until Application Privilege Control was turned OFF. I also could NOT SAVE any protected file types using MSPAINT until Application Privilege Control was turned OFF. So this problem is more widespread than just MS Office - it also impacts core Windows programs. Why could this be happening? Thanks.
  12. Excel is just an example. It seems to affect any office programs at least for my test laptop. Even in explorer I cannot right click and select NEW > XLS file in the My Documents folder. Also as mentioned, we run many different versions of Office. However for the purpose of testing - how would I add Excel to the trusted group? Kind regards, Luke
  13. I should mention that Excel can open any existing xls file no problem - it just cannot modify a file or create a new xls file. It can however save as an extension that is not protected (eg. CAN save as txt file).
  14. Hi, Thank you for your reponse! So the report shows the following (I only removed the username column) when I try to create a file called testbookfail.xls after opening Excel, typing some text into a blank document and attempting to save it to my documents folder. There are no column headings unfortunately. 7/03/2017 10:28 Application Privilege Control rule triggered Application Privilege Control Microsoft Excel Blocked: xls Create C:\USERS\LUKE\DOCUMENTS\TESTBOOKFAIL.XLS xls 7/03/2017 10:28 Application Privilege Control rule triggered Application Privilege Control Microsoft Excel Allowed: My documents2 Create C:\USERS\LUKE\DOCUMENTS\TESTBOOKFAIL.XLS My documents2 7/03/2017 10:28 Application Privilege Control rule triggered Application Privilege Control Microsoft Excel Blocked: xls Create C:\USERS\LUKE\DOCUMENTS\TESTBOOKFAIL.XLS xls 7/03/2017 10:28 Application Privilege Control rule triggered Application Privilege Control Microsoft Excel Allowed: My documents2 Create C:\USERS\LUKE\DOCUMENTS\TESTBOOKFAIL.XLS My documents2 I have attached a screenshot of the xls policy settings (Trusted is allowed for all operations - low and high restricted are allowed to read but not write, delete or create and untrusted is not allowed to do anything). Please let me know if more information is required. Kind regards, Luke
  15. Thanks for your reply.. is there a place I can add the path to programs on the administration server or does it have to be on the clients manually. If we have to do this anyway, I do not think it will work for us since we run about 6000 versions of MS Office - but I would like to give it a try so any information you have I would appreciate. Kind regards, Luke
