  1. Hi could some one tell me why Kaspersky secure connection was installed on my pc without my permission I have just got home from work and saw the icon on desktop for this program which I do not want but am a little worried that if I uninstall it that my existing KIS2016 will go pear shape so I will say thanks in advance it told that it can be removed with out problems.
  2. Hi I found this on a site and did what as it said and now when I open smart manager the virus scanner is deactivated so thought I would share it as it might help with this problem: 1. Open on your Samsung Galaxy S6 the app menu 2. Select Settings --> "Applications" --> "Application Manager" 3. Change to the Tab "All" and search in the list for "Smart Manager" 4. When you have found the entry, then tap on it to let you show the app information 5. Sequentially select the following buttons: Delete data Clear Cache 6. If you now open the Smart Manager on your Samsung Galaxy S6, then the security device, with the integrated virus scanner is disabled again and of course inactive. 6. Hi I have just upgraded to KIS 2016 from 2015 due to windows 10 not seeing Kaspersky and kept on enabling their defender which i do not use well I installed 2016 no problems but when I try and go to firewall setting and click on CONFIGURE APPLICATION RULES nothing happens click on NETWORKS and CONFIGURE PACKET RULES and they open a their relevant pages, I searched on the forum and read about another way to stop an application from going on internet and there they said go PROTECTION, APPLICATION CONTROL and then MANAGE APPLICATION and just like before nothing happens open up MANAGE RESOURCES and it open a dialog. It was very easy and simple to do this on KIS 2105 but having problems trying to get this to work on KIS 2016. I have apps that I want to block from internet but at the minute I cannot because I do not know how to in KIS 2016. thanks in advance for any helpful replies

  8. Just an update for any one interested i seem to have got my tomtom to connect to their server by disabliing encryption connection scanning in KIS 2015 and have now been able to update my maps and I know there are ruthless people out there in the internet world and KIS has to keep our pc's safe but its annoying when for all the years i have had a Kaspersky product install and tomtom that out of the blue this connection problem raises its head which will make me think twice about upgrading to the 2016 version and I might even end my association with Kaspersky. I am not a happy chappie regards this product keeping me away from site i have used monthly for the past 10 years
  9. Foe some reason I can no longer update my maps because KIS 2015 is blocking access... secure connection failed home.tomtom.com:433 uses invalid certificte. The ceertificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is not trusted (Error code sec_error_untrusted_issuer) This could be a problem with the servers configuration or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server If you have connected to the server cuccessfully in the past the error maybe temporary and you can try again later. I have bever had this before so would appreciate some help to sorth this out ....thanks in advance
  10. Wow thanks very much I would never have found it as I did not thinkonr could interact with those 3 blocks. Thanks again is there anyway to mark this topic a solved
  11. I have searched but could not find anything about disabling and enabling network in KIS 2015 as all previous version one had the option of doing so, has this function been removed from the latest version as I only just upgraded from my old stable KIS 2013 to KIS 2015 thanks in advance
  12. Hi just a further update to let you know that I bit the bullet and have done a re install of windows 7 and it solved the problem and KIS 2013 is loaded and working so this thread can now be closed...thanks to all that assisted me with this problem
  13. Thank you for your effort and I have submitted all logs to the address you gave me but worried about being unprotected so might re-load windows 7 from scratch but if I wait for support to come back to me then on Monday I will update this post with their findings...cheers
