  1. Cleared up a little confusion, but not all. Still wondering about the difference between KIS Android and Mobile Antivirus.
  2. Updated. It's time for my automatic renewal of KIS Android. I also have a new phone, and haven't installed at all yet. I go to Google Play, and only find Kaspersky Mobile Antivirus. On the Kaspersky website, nothing about that, only KIS Android. This is clear as mud. Are they the same thing? Suggestions appreciated. THX
  3. I purchased a 3-year, 3-PC license for Kaspersky Pure and another 3-year, 3-PC license for Kaspersky Internet Security, both on January 11, 2015. I bought both from K directly, through their website. I have the email receipts, but there's no way I have the original URL of the page I bought from saved somewhere. I clear my cache and my history regularly. Furthermore, not long after I bought them, PURE became Kaspersky Total Security. However, THIS URL shows that Total Security includes ANDROID protection. Which is essentially the offer I purchased on January 11.
  4. None of the Kaspersky Activation codes I have work to activate the android premium ap. I do not understand what you mean by "post the URL LINK" to the licenses I purchased.
  5. I have purchased multiple K products, most recently Pure / Kaspersky Total Security, 3yr 3machine multi pack etc, offers that I understood included the android app. The android app, however, will not accept my KTS activation code. How does one activate the smartphone app when license is purchased in one of these bundles? The supplied activation code doesn't seem to work.
  6. Thank you. Uninstalling the incompatible software clearly helped -- although it took some doing to find the Advertising Center (a Nero product) and delete it. However, running the kaspersky removal tool didn't seem to work. Yes, safe mode. The tool listed many installed products that I have never installed on this machine, and deleting them per your instructions had no effect on the list; it kept coming back the same. I focused on products I know I had installed (Pure 3.0), and likewise. However, I rebooted once again into normal mode and was able to successfully install Pure 3.0. It seems the problem is solved, no?
  7. I have uninstalled Pure 3.0 and I am attempting to reinstall. The process fails almost instantly after clicking the INSTALL button with an error and instructions to contact technical support. I tried the method for skipping incompatible software check, just as an experiment, and that failed in the same way. http://www.getsysteminfo.com/read.php?file...5da084c70b42395 I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
  8. I have an iphone with a dedicated password vault type program, Ascendo Datavault (iphone version) running on the desktop and the handheld. They're supposed to be able to talk to each via the wifi network, but it's extremely temperamental. Actually, the desktop is connected to the router hardwired (ethernet); the handheld communicates fine wifi, gets on the internet properly, etc, no problem. I have yet to get KIS configured properly to allow this communication. I can't remember the last time I had a successful sync, but I believe I had to kill KIS totally and reboot without it, the idea of which makes me nervous. Now that doesn't even seem to work. There has to be a better way. The handheld says it's trying to connect to, port 8008. I really can't make heads or tails of how or where to change the KIS settings to allow this connection. Can someone please help? THANKS.
  9. I still can't get GSI to run. It hangs on "obtaining list of Printers information," about 20%. Here's a list of printers installed. I unstalled a bunch of unused ones already, but it didn't help.
  10. I'm deeply uncomfortable being online without any protection, so I'm reinstalling 2009. Notably, that goes in fine, with no Ad-Aware 7-8 error message. We'll see if that allows GIS to run. 09 installed and is updating fine. GIS runs, after rebooting, but only up to that same point, getting printer information. Hangs there (10 minutes). What the heck?
  11. I killed & restarted it. Now (3+ minutes), it doesn't get past the "obtaining list of BIOS information." about 0%.
  12. I'm working on it. The GSI tool seems to be hung at the moment. Will it work properly if I have both 2010 and 2009 uninstalled? It's hung at the point "obtaining list of printers information", about 15% or 20% complete.
  13. As I said, I have completely scrubbed the registry, the programs folder, etc, of all traces of adaware. I now uninstalled 2009, and 2010 still won't install. Any further suggests? Greatly appreciated. THANKS.
  14. I'm trying to install 2010 over 2009. I get the Incompatible Software for Ad-Aware 7-8 error message. (note the hyphens in the error message) I had that at one time, but uninstalled long ago and recently installed AE. Since getting the error message I have deleted/uninstalled all Lavasoft products, folders, and related registry entries COMPLETELY. I still get the error message. As far as I can tell, there is no trace whatsoever of AAW 7-8 on this machine. How do I clear this error message? THANKS.
  15. Well, it did the trick past tense. I've since upgraded to KIS 2009, which required a complete uninstall / reinstall. Now, with 2009, I can't make out where this setting is. Any suggestions? THANKS
