  1. Hi guys! I'm sorry but to have to tell you that I my impression was rushed: the problem remains. Hopefully it seems that we can reproduce the issue: I decided to exit KIS to watch some YouTube movies… and after watching a couple of them I quit YouTube and tried to re-start KIS… no luck… the problem remains… the only way to get KIS running again is resetting my machine… It seems that we have an issue with KIS 2010... Let's see what technical support will say... Thx
  2. Hi everyone! I just would like to stop by to say that Kaspersky support has helped me and the issue has gone. I was instructed to uninstall KIS 20010, run a Kaspersky removal tool and re-install it. Apparently the migration from KIS 2009 to KIS 2010 without removing KIS 2009 first is the source of the problem. Besides the problems that I described in this topic, I was experiencing looooooong delays when opening Detailed reports... now it's as fast as a flash.. I'd like to thank Igor Kurzin, Daniela Figueiredo (from Kaspersky support USA), richbuff and everybody else who tried to help me somehow. My sincere greetings,

  4. Hi Don,, Sorry if I left this not very clear... The support call has been opened... I'm posting here trying to solve the problem in paralel... and also to document our attempts to to tech support people... Errare humanum est, right?

Hi frank... yes I did it... but my problem seems to be slightlydifferent somehow.. cause I'm not neither getting crashes in the WEBAV component nor being able to re-start KIS with partial components runnning... honestly KIS icon is not even appearing in the tray.. so that I presume that it is not running in the background...   6. Hi rich.... I've tried to do waht you suggested, but no effect. I noticed that KIS is blocking youtube (As per several posts here) then I disabled it... then youtube works as usual.... when I try to turn KIS on again.., no luck... this is definetely a bug.... I'm awaiting for the tech support answers...
  7. "You are getting that for several applications. " I did not get it? This is not occuring afer a restart... it occurs if during a session I close KIS and try to re-launch it again...

Hi guys, As I told you, I kept an eye on it... followed the removel instructions and finally got a green GIS status.. :cb_punk: http://www.getsysteminfo.com/read.php?file...0eec94&ms=0 So far so good... I'll monitor this to see if I any surprise will arise... and let you know if something changes... I quit and re-started KIS 4 times and got no problem so far... It seems that the removal of incompatible software and unknown software has solved the issue... Thx a bunch for the tip and the support.. :bravo:

  11. Hi Igor... Thank you for your feedback... From now on I´ll use USA support... however I think that Private Cabinet should forward the messages properly, don´t you think? I remember that my first call I used the link you shared and it was rerouted to the Brazilian team... what now? Where else we can identify conflicting points? Is there any mis-configuration in the tech support software? (Personal Cabinet) - How can we avoid problems like these in the future? Thank you very much, :bravo: Daniel

I do agree with you that awaiting the next version is the way to go... however I want to bring this problem with Brazilian support up so that they may identify the causes and fix them, providing a better support for Brazilian users. In a globalized world my reals or your leus ($$$) should have the same value of the EUROs or the US$ dollars that every software house dreams to reach in the customer pockets... we also are paying customers in a world with a bunch of software piracy and freeware... and we dit it because we believe that intelectual property, technical support, localization, and the possibility to come to a board like this to post my doubts without any concerns regarding our eligibility to do it add value to my investiment. So, I think that Brazilian supporters should provide a better service to us. If the personal cabinet is not forwarding my messages to Brazilian staff or there is some further issue unknown to me, it´s up to them to came here to see what is going on... Nothing will make a customer happier than getting a decent reply for his problems. These days, technical competence or product capabilities are no longer more important than service and support. Companies are loosing customers everyday because they disregard this principle... JM2C Daniel
  13. Rich... I´m not using any Symantec products... my laptop came with Norton AV but I got rid of it as soon as I turned it on first time... that was a couple of years ago... Anyway, as soon as I get home today I´ll follow your instructions... although I think that this is not the root cause for this problem... Anyway, thx a million for your input... Any other insight guys?

I have uploaded the logs I have uploaded the logs with Kaspesrky running and not running (After quit) I'd appreciate if someone could take a look at them...
