Log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts  - on the support page, select either Chat or Email, then fill in the template as shown in the image below; please include a *detailed history*.     1. Which Kaspersky software is *actually* installed  - is it really Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool? On the Windows Taskbar *hidden icons* right-click the Kaspersky icon, select About
    2. Which *scan* is *actually* running? 
    3. What is the *actual* error/s showing for the internet connection being switched OFF
    4. READ: A scan task freezes or stops

    i think you should amend the program immediately to exclude the Autodesk Fusion from the anti-virus .

    1. Which Kaspersky version is installed, on the Windows Taskbar *hidden icons*, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About
    2. IF it's 21.3* it's Kaspersky's *old* software -> upgrade to Kaspersky's new software: Kaspersky StandardreadKaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ - the upgrade is free & is like-for-like.
    3. Download Kaspersky Standard from: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product
    4. *Make sure (your) Activation code is saved in (your) MyKaspersky account before uninstalling Kaspersky Anti-Virus. 
    5. *Create a System Restore Point *before* uninstalling Kaspersky Anti-Virus. 
    6. *After installing Kaspersky Standard - make sure to sign into the Kaspersky Standard application with the same email address (you) use to sign into (your) MyKaspersky account so the Kaspersky application synchronises with (your) MyKaspersky account.

    Regarding the image posted by @Porrect - click X in the top right-hand-corner OR kill it via Taskmanager. 

    *Then* READ & FOLLOW the documentation: I forgot my password. What should I do?

    • NOTE -  as part of the process (you) will download & use KLAPR.zip - the password resetting tool - it's in the documentation. 
    • NOTE1 - it's only possible to reset password for a Kaspersky application when booting the computer in Windows Safe Mode - it's in the documentation.
    • NOTE2 - SAFE MODE is MANDATORY - READ: How to start a Windows PC in Safe Mode - it's in the documentation.

    3. I think my icon folder (known in win 10 as "briefcase") was actually saved across from my old hard drive. However if I follow what you may be thinking I should reiterate that I get the same results- kis.v2 etc- if using a search engine ( google or duck duck ) to locate my bank or indeed type in manually the url.

    4. To be honest I never did install the extension pre or post March BUT I have done so now although it makes no difference sadly.

    5. Sorry but I`m not sure what you mean by resetting browsers. I have changed browser defaults via windows settings and I have swapped browsers in Kaspersky "additions" category ( your red circled number 3 in images).

    6. I`ve been reading other topics quoting certificates errors and message errors but nothing seems to cover my simple logic of why every url opens perfectly via the safe money website listing box yet any other means of location a url to open encounters varying degrees of speed opening troubles.

"briefcase" in the context of Safe Money does not make sense, in our second image above, number 4 is Create shortcut for Safe MoneyClicking this link creates a desktop shortcut for starting Safe Money. This shortcut allows opening a window that contains a list of websites of banks or payment systems for which Protected Browser is used for access. || see image below
    2. (Your # 6. above) We're having trouble understanding the issue, sorry! We thought it was, when (you) were accessing a banking site, using Edge or Firefox, via a search engine (Google or Duck-Duck), the response was slow & there was kis.v2 showing - based on that understanding - we suggested: edge://settings/reset & Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings - but - we're left wondering IF this is the problem? IF it's not too much trouble - could you describe it again please?

    I try disabling UAC - however I cannot find out what setting can make me access and change their security remotely without them having to click

    the call centre at Kaspersky haven't been upgraded to gpt 4o yet so they are still robotic and think that its not possible

    1. Has Allow managing Kaspersky settings via remote control applications been *checked*? 
    2. IF "do not prompt for confirmation during the next 5 minutes" can be clicked on - on some computers - but - not on others - it suggests the remote applications - have not been configured *identically*. 
    3. Please share the Incident reference number provided by Kaspersky Customer Service, it's prefixed with INC0000?

    2. Do all (your) Safe Money settings match the images - excluding 5 - where (your) list will be different? READ: Safe Money settings.
    3. Since the Feb/March *disaster* has the Safe Money folder / shortcut with the regularly used icons been *recreated*? 
    4. Is the Kaspersky Protection browser extension installed in both Firefox & Edge? 
    5. Have both Firefox & Edge browsers  - in normal mode & Safe Money mode - been reset?

    1. (ioo) accessing KPM via Windows Hello is quicker & easier & it's *always* safer to keep the vault locked IF you are not sitting right there at the computer.

    2. Use OpenVPN, read: How to set up VPN in third-party clients - done via the MyKaspersky account portal.
    3. After setting up the OpenVPN, you would then do these steps & yes, as long as he is using the email that the subscription was purchased with - that has Unlimited VPN for 10 devices.

    If this check box is selected, the application automatically searches for unused operating system files and Windows Registry faults. When the search is complete, Kaspersky displays a notification with information about search results.

    1. Are (you) sure it's PC Speed-Up that's deleting the Outlook files? 
    2. Has Quarantine been checked? 
    3. How is Mail Anti-Virus configured? 
    4. For PC Speed-Up - were any of the following options *offered*:

    *Choose how to process detected suspicious software

    • Disinfect
    • Delete
    • Skip
    • Add to exclusions
    • Apply to all objects of this type

    I realise that some may see this as overkill but it does prevent someone accessing bank details while you are logged into KPM unless you enter your password to view particular bank card details.

    • Going by (your) /  Dashlane explanation - we'd expect the same requirement for accessing banking & all other sites designed to protect *your* financial security? No? 
    • How? Presumably you don't wander off and leave the vault open?

    There is https://www.kaspersky.com/vpn-secure-connection - however - (ioo) economically, it would be a waste for (your) husband to buy a *new* subscription for the stand-alone Premium VPN. 

    The subscription is based on the email that was used when (you) purchased it, IF (you) sign OUT of the VPN with that email address & (your) husband signs IN with that same email address - that *should* work - that does mean (your) husband has access to the same email address for (your) MyKaspersky account but *not* your Kaspersky Password Manager MASTER password vault & OR KPM cloud - unless - he knows *your* KPM MASTER password. 

    Change the following in (your) Kaspersky VPN:

    Sadly, on the Kaspersky Premium shared subscription he can't, the information is hidden in the shopping cart: VPN for 1 user account on all devices.

    This information: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Danila T. Q. 1.  applies IF (you) *convert* the existing license, i.e. KIS = Standard. 

    IF a *new* subscription is purchased, Kaspersky have named their new software Kaspersky Plus Internet Security - just to confuse everyone (ioo) - what a waste of time after telling everyone it's a new beginning, when the new software FIRST came out, the OLD names were not on the software, the OLD names were added not so long ago, all it's done is made people confused!
