    1. Thank you so much - that worked.  My husband now has unlimited VPN.
    2. You wouldn't happen to know how to download it to his Firesticks - would you?  We tried ourselves but didn't manage it.
    3. Would we download Kaspersky Premium for Android and use my Kaspersky account to login and would he get unlimited VPN?

    Hello @Fergus

    You're most welcome!

    1. That's excellent, good work! We're delighted to read this!
    2. Use OpenVPN, read: How to set up VPN in third-party clients - done via the MyKaspersky account portal.
    3. After setting up the OpenVPN, you would then do these steps & yes, as long as he is using the email that the subscription was purchased with - that has Unlimited VPN for 10 devices.

Any issues or concerns please post back?

Why does Kaspersky premium speed up the computer feature delete files in Outlook?

We encountered the same problem for the second time.

Isn't it ridiculous to delete outlook files to speed things up?

    Hello @blckabr

    Welcome!

    PC Speed-Up

If this check box is selected, the application automatically searches for unused operating system files and Windows Registry faults. When the search is complete, Kaspersky displays a notification with information about search results.

    1. Are (you) sure it's PC Speed-Up that's deleting the Outlook files?
    2. Has Quarantine been checked?
    3. How is Mail Anti-Virus configured?
    4. For PC Speed-Up - were any of the following options *offered*:

*Choose how to process detected suspicious software

    • Disinfect
    • Delete
    • Skip
    • Add to exclusions
    • Apply to all objects of this type

Hi Flood, maybe I didn't make my question very clear, I do have my bank cards saved in KPM but once you enter your password to access KPM you have access to everything, accounts, bank cards etc, whereas with Dashlane you had to enter your password again to view sensitive data like bank card details.

I realise that some may see this as overkill but it does prevent someone accessing bank details while you are logged into KPM unless you enter your password to view particular bank card details.

    Hello @Richchad

    You're most welcome!

    Thank you for posting back!

    • Correct, it was not at all clear!
    • Going by (your) /  Dashlane explanation - we'd expect the same requirement for accessing banking & all other sites designed to protect *your* financial security? No?
    • How? Presumably you don't wander off and leave the vault open?

I have been using Dashlane for a few years until they decided to make a monthly charge and if you wanted to view your bank cards etc it requested you enter your password.

As I already had Kaspersky Password as part of my Kaspersky Plus subscription I have started to use it but there doesn't seem to be any requirement to protect bank card details like in Dashlane, is this something that might be added or maybe it is already there and I have missed it?

    Hello @Richchad

I do not need to use a VPN so is there a way to give it to him or can he buy a Kaspersky VPN on it's own?

    Hello @Fergus

    Thank you for posting back!

There is https://www.kaspersky.com/vpn-secure-connection - however - (ioo) economically, it would be a waste for (your) husband to buy a *new* subscription for the stand-alone Premium VPN.

The subscription is based on the email that was used when (you) purchased it, IF (you) sign OUT of the VPN with that email address & (your) husband signs IN with that same email address - that *should* work - that does mean (your) husband has access to the same email address for (your) MyKaspersky account but *not* your Kaspersky Password Manager MASTER password vault & OR KPM cloud - unless - he knows *your* KPM MASTER password.

Change the following in (your) Kaspersky VPN:

    image.thumb.png.8717eda62fbc1ed8de02dddddefa534b.png

& in (your) Kaspersky Premium, go to Interface Settings, select Configure notifications

    image.thumb.png.a51788baeb33f8028725db1c33b64e91.png

*uncheck* VPN - for both columns - as shown - select OK, select Save, select Confirm:

Last year I bought a 2 year, 10 devices Kaspersky Premium and share it with my husband.  Until now he has used a VPN from a different vendor but, when it recently expired, I told him our Kaspersky Premium contained an unlimited VPN.  However, my version of Kaspersky Premium shows unlimited but, despite us both showing version 21.17.7.539 his is restricted to 300Mb per day.

He has his own My Kaspersky account (to enable us to have separate Password Manager databases).

How can he get unlimited VPN?

    Hello @Fergus

    Welcome!

Sadly, on the Kaspersky Premium shared subscription he can't, the information is hidden in the shopping cart: VPN for 1 user account on all devices.

Shouldn't KIS keys go to Plus considering its "Kaspersky Plus Internet Security" not Kaspersky Standard Internet Security?

    Welcome back!

    We agree it's confusing!

This information: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Danila T. Q. 1.  applies IF (you) *convert* the existing license, i.e. KIS = Standard.

IF a *new* subscription is purchased, Kaspersky have named their new software Kaspersky Plus Internet Security - just to confuse everyone (ioo) - what a waste of time after telling everyone it's a new beginning, when the new software FIRST came out, the OLD names were not on the software, the OLD names were added not so long ago, all it's done is made people confused!

    1. Again this argument makes absolutely zero sense, sounds like you are just working backwards to justify an existing limitation of the system being able to generate a single conf file per user account.
    2. If we work on the assumption that as a *SINGLE* user I have a subscription for 5 devices, I see no actual reason why generating up to 5 configuration files should not be allowed as it would be used for 5 devices that I own myself, besides the apparent reason of how the system is currently structured to only provide a single conf file.
    3. In any case my post was not meant to debate the interpretation of user vs device but to ask if multiple wireguard conf file generation was a possibility in the future.

    Hello @vrn99

    Thank you for posting back!

    1. It's not an argument, it's a fact -> based on facts, those are: (you've) purchased a *single* USER account subscription, for 1 year, for 5 devices.
    2. The *subscription* is for one USER *account*  - generating the configuration file is based on the USER account  - not on the number of devices. The *subscription* has no facility to be shared with more USERS. Generating a second config file requires a second USER profile. That's not possible as the *subscription* is for a *single* USER.
    3. No, not as long as the *subscription* is for a single user.

I have Kaspersky premium edition installed in my pc (windows 11 pro), I tried to install Kaspersky protection extension in brave browser but it doesn't work, is there any solution because brave is my default browser.

    Hello @ziad189

    Welcome!

Kaspersky does not support Brave for the Kaspersky Protection browser extension, Kaspersky do support Brave for Kaspersky Password Manager extension (KPM), some users hack the KPM Chrome extension, renaming it so it's used as Kaspersky Protection browser extension *but* then they no longer have it available as the KPM extension.

So my subscription for Kaspersky recently ended and I don't got the money to renew it currently so I've started using Kaspersky Free which I'm not sure if it provides real-time protection as in does it only helps scan the computer for a virus after you've downloaded something or been exposed or is it able to do the same a a paid version can and stop it before you download it or get exposed to the virus, malware etc.?

I hope this question makes sense, sorry if it's worded in a confusing way.

    Hello @echotango

    Welcome back!

Your question makes sense, do not worry!

Yes, Kaspersky Free is real-time protection! Kaspersky Free is a limited free version of Kaspersky. Using the free version of the application gives you high-quality protection supplemented by advanced features and a user interface fully reworked for ease of use.

IF (you) look at the Kaspersky Free GUI, there are little crown icons against various options that are *not* available in the Free version.

The Kaspersky Free subscription is renewed without (your) intervention.

I'm sorry but what you have said makes absolutely no sense, I am still the sole user of the devices. By providing two individual wireguard conf files it would take up two device slots out of the available 5 under the same user account.

    Hello @vrn99

    Thank you for posting back!

    1. The *subscription* is for *one* user - that equals one user account for the configuration file & one user  account for *all* devices.
    2. The number of devices greater than one is irrelevant IF the *subscription* is for *one* user.
    3. *The *same* user account cannot have more than one user profile to generate a configuration file*
    4. It's clearly shown on the product page & the shopping cart.
    5. There's no option to *invite* a second user, i.e. add a second user account & generate a second configuration file.

    Thank you🙏

Kaspersky password manager is excellent and have all the essential features. It even has an option to share the account credentials or secure notes. But only if instead of sharing it in a plain text a link is created which asks for the 6 digit code (which was generated when the user clicks on share option). So that it can be accessed only after entering the 6 digits code of it. Also when a link for share is created it also provides for the time duration as well as how many number of access can be made.

Sharing in a plain text is not secure enough.
