Kaspersky Internet Security

Yesterday i did a scan with kaspersky internet security and today it is gone. i tried to open the program but there are no files of the program. the antivirus program and the safe money both were deleted.

Do I need to register/create an account or provide my e-mail address in order to activate the 30 day test version of the program? When the test version expires I can buy a key from an “offline” shop. Can I activate the program with this key only or do I need to provide my e-mail address and create an account/register?

Should it be enabled for better security or disabled? How much does it increase the security? Also how much does it affect the performance - does it affect only startup times? I do use SSD, so would the difference be small? Please answer here with a proper explanation, thanks!

Is this supposed to be like it? First of all I want to assure you I do not have any active malware that would try to open anything - you can test it out yourself. I for exampe just search a dangerous site and Kaspersky instantly blocks it without opening. Does it mean something tried to load, or is it just some sort of “prevention”? Because if something did try to load, I find it strange, since I didnt open anything. This happens in google search. I also recently used Google Images and found it strange that the same sort of warning came out(about phising) when clicking on(increasing size) image, but without going on the site. As per the topic, what if the browser has a zero day vulnerability that is being exploited ? How does Kaspersky handle that situation. It appears that even with Safe Money being activated, the computer would still be compromised. Anyone have more to add ?

Though Private browsing and Anti banner is enabled while working in browser It keeps on refreshing and almost becomes impossible to work. Even some time if I try to write something in note pad it automatically keep on writing something in notepad mostly the current date of the system. The screen keeps on flickering during this attack and can’t work at all This goes around for around 1 minute and then again becomes stable. I have just had this problem pop up. I acnnot play my game as it says error code 4 server unavailble. I did some research and everyuthing says its my Kaspersky. I have found that it was sent to low restrictred. I have trusted it and allowed it access etc and still when i load it changes in the application activity to digital signal missing. Is this blockinmg my game thinking its a virus or malware? It seems it isnt recognising where its coming from. Lots of gamers having this issue .. [;ease help!! Thanks Danny

Hi there, Just installed your application, and enjoying it so far. When I opened Mozilla for the first time after installation, some Kaspersky popups came up and I most definitely accidentally clicked on some things before reading, adjusting some kind of settings. Now, any and all pages I go to on Mozilla give me errors that my the connection to such and such website is not secure, tried on basic sites like Google. Mozilla is not my primary browser but as such I cannot use it. How can I fix? Even a basic reset of Kaspersky settings might solve the issue. Best, -James

Hello is KIS19/20 better than KIS18? I like KIS18 more and would like to use this version,but maybe I have some disadvantages with this old version. Is there any advantage for KIS19/20 against 18?

Seems like this was an issue before, and claims to be resolved but I do not see “how” it was resolved. Kaspersky keeps flagging my HOSTS file, then disinfecting it by deleting it and replacing it with an empty HOSTS file. I’ve run the updates, run the full scans, yet every time I try to add even 1 line to the HOSTS file, immediately flagged and the red box appears to “disinfect and reboot”. Help. Anyone?

Hi. Kaspersky Internet Security did not inform me that it’s File Anti-Virus subsystem was making an interference in the installation of Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-6.0.20-137117. I’m talking about the Notification and Logging (Reports) subsystems. I’m not talking about the File Anti-Virus subsystem. (Whether my setup was problematic, or VirtualBox did it non-standard, or Kaspersky File Anti-Virus made a wrong interference, can be target of another discussion. For the record, I tested disabling Kaspersky File Anti-Virus thanks to a VirtualBox forum user who noted his experience with a McAfee file anti-virus!) Hi, For about 3 months now I’m no longer able to skip ads on Youtube. The skip button doesn’t overlay anymore on the video. So for my only workaround is to wait 4 seconds and then refresh the page. It’s extremely annoying and today I’ve finally gotten around to investigating the root causes. It seems to be due to the newer version of the Kaspersky Chrome extension. If I disable it, I’m able to finally skip Youtube ads again. Kaspersky asked me autorization to update dropbox. I have accepted. However the installation did not go well (failed with no explanation). Now the situation is the following : 1) no dropbox in place, (file dropbox.exe deleted) 2) I cannot install dropbox; I have downloaded the dropbox install program but it refuses to run even when run as administrator. 3) I cannot uninstall dropbox as no longer existing ... I even uninstalled kaspersky and reied again to run dropbox install ... no success. Did someone experinced the same ? Bernard

Hi, I have several companies. I have bought and paid the license annually. Since we have macOS Catalina the Macs block. In Windows 10, they systemize the system and block many programs. Right now, what interests us most is that with the Adobe Lighroom and the open Kaspesky, the session of the 2017 iMac is closed with 20gb of memory. I used Windows defender (antivirus) and account was not Admin - it was user account without any system permissions. I am surprised, I expected that user’s account can’t raise permission for virus for encryption files... So I contacted with other antivirus vendors and all of them tell me, that files can’t be decrypted, because private key needed.
