Hello, I was wondering if this program, Frost Mod Manager, is a virus. I want to use this for modding Star Wars Battlefront, and the program scores a 3/50 on VirusTotal, with Kaspersky detecting it as VHO:Trojan.MSIL.Exnet.gen. Is this a false positive?

Google recently started selling .zip and .mov TLDs and I don't want to bother with blacklists or ad blockers to block those domains. I'm currently using Kaspersky Plus and I tried adding "*.zip" and "*.mov" rules in Safe Browsing but it doesn't seem to work properly. Is there a way to add something like a DNS entry to completely block those TLDs be it web traffic or not?

Before switching to Kaspersky, I was using Norton (NAV). Before installing Kaspersky, I had uninstalled NAV. While installing Kaspersky, I proceeded to delete incompatible program NAV (surprised why its still there), then the computer rebooted. Try again, its still there. Proceed to delete again, then reboot. After the 3rd or 4th time (still there), I unchecked to delete it so that Kaspersky can be installed. Then I did a Full Scan, but no threat is detected. I also looked at Control Panel > Programs, no NAV there. Can I just ignore that NAV is still probably there somewhere in my computer?

(I use google translate) Howdy, I have a problem with activating the antivirus, because the problem appeared with the activation of the key. The problem is that I get an error called: Maximum number of activations exceeded. Interestingly, the antivirus worked before the format, I formatted the computer and I can no longer activate it. And there are 200 days left until the end of the subscription. I spent money on it so I wish it would work. I wrote to support and am waiting for a reply, if I buy a key, it should always work until the subscription stops working. Because you have to format from time to time. What can we do with this fact? is the key lost?

Hi ! Si I did a some research before coming here but I'm a bit stuck as my problem seems to be precisely in between everything I saw. Couple of days ago, I had two warning: - One from Windows Defender in the Device Security panel that brought me to Core Isolation. Memory Integrity was on and there was not a lot of thing I can do. I ended up ingnoring the notification and everything seems to be OK as it's green but I'm not sure it works because all I did was ignoring the warning. The only weird thing is that I can't turn off Memory Integrity (I can toggle the button but everytime I restart the PC it's on); - One from Kaspersky that advice me to use a com…

Hi For a few weeks now, I noticed my Steam updates could not be done unless I started my computer in Safe Mode. I also cound not access the Store page or my Friends list, as it said I had no connection, but I could play any of the games I have already installed even if they needed an internet connection After trying a few things, I found out that changing the name of the folder of Steam (to Steam2, Steam3 etc) and then starting Steam.exe was enough for it to work This morning though, Discord tried to update itself, and was blocked While looking thourgh KAspersky's program control, I tried to view the details for Steam and Discord, and got the message (see pictu…

Hello, In the Kaspersky app manager i found two processes (System, Registry) that are neither in a trusted group (grey square) nor have any popularity level (five grey busts), are they legtimate? Meanwhile, Console Window Host is using 12% of the cpu (in windows task manager), and 8% in Kaspersky app manger. I uploaded a screenshot of the items. Could there be a threat?

This would probably be just a simple switching some toggle in settings, but I don't know what to turn off or on. I have the latest Kaspersky Internet Security and some websites, mainly video hosting ones, hang on for some time before starting to play content. There is this spinning circle like website is downloading content. There should be no problem with that as I'm working on 1gig symmetric broadband, but yet it still happening. What should I turn off or on?

Hi, I'm using a KIS 21.3.10.391 on a Windows 7 64 SP2 system. Recently I had ~40 second freezes every time I boot to windows. I investigated the issue and detected that registry file has become too large. (~2.7 GB file size when I export it with REGEDIT.EXE) After inspecting the registry, I saw that the bloated size is caused by this entry; Kaspersky Lab Filter Core HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\klflt This reg entry is 858 MB in size. It has 2 copies in ControlSet001 and 002 (which explains the 2.7 GB backup file.) Why this large data is stored in Windows Registry file? What happens if I delete it? Is there a s…

    1) Fresh install of KIS on W10 x64 2) Followed 'workaround' 3) After registry modification as proposed above, KIS wouldn't start normally. Starting the app, results in two KIS icons appear on the taskbar 4) Hovering the mouse over, 1 of those disappears 5) And clicking on the one that remained, attempts to re-start KIS and goes back to (3) So what's wrong this time? Is that "IsVersionUpdateEnabled" entry in the registry that caused all the havoc? Is it not supported by later versions anymore? Something else? Good luck to me finding out. As if I don't have anything better to do, instead of spending time on troubleshooting, re-installing on a f…

My Kaspersky Internet Security is frequently finding and recommending the disinfection of BG.WP.JS (not-a-virus:HEUR:AdWare.Script.ChromeExt.gen). It finds it here: C:\Users\*********\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Extensions\bgnodfikjoihkcjjnefbjkeclamhipak\15.64_0. I would like tpo know which specific extension it is that is constantly trying to redownload this and have it removed.Whether I'm working, gaming or an a call it pops up aneven if I disinfect without restart after awhile it force disinfects.

I still have 293 days of KIS subscription if this product is discontinued. Will that mean my computer would be unsecured and susceptible to threats? 293 days are almost a year so what to do now?
