Kaspersky Protection extension Anti-Banner Not Working [redux merged]

Need help. Kaspersky Protection extension AntiBanner no longer able to block ads after Chrome update. I already tried removing and reinstalling the extension to no avail.

 

Kaspersky Protection extension v1.3.8.0

Chrome Version 88.0.4324.104 (Official Build) (64-bit)

KIS 21.2.16.590(b)

I’d like to reopen this issue again. Same issue again, but this time the workaround of disabling/enabling no longer works.

Anti-banner is not blocking anything.

Welcome again!

Currently, Kaspersky have acknowledged an issue with Kaspersky software not blocking advertising in YouTube → the issue is under review; however, that’s specific to advertising in Youtube, not advertising per se. 

  1. Export KIS Settings.
  2. Reset KIS to Default Settings. 
  3. Shutdown device, using Shutdown, not Restart, power on login, make sure KIS is running, recheck “Kaspersky Protection extension Anti-Banner Not Working” issue, if it persists, do the following:
  4. Uninstall KIS, save License information only, do not select any other checkboxes. 
  5. Shutdown device, using Shutdown, not Restart, power on login. 
  6. Download & clean install KIS. 
  7. Shutdown device, using Shutdown, not Restart, power on login, make sure KIS is running → do not check “Kaspersky Protection extension Anti-Banner Not Working” atm. 
  8. Run a manual Database update → allow it to complete. 
  9. Shutdown device, using Shutdown, not Restart, power on login, make sure KIS is running → check “Kaspersky Protection extension Anti-Banner Not Working”

IF the issue is replicable, video it, using a Screen recorder &, as per @Igor Kurzin’s reply above, log a case with Kaspersky Technical Support, Support may request Traces & other data; they will guide you.

& provide the INC reference number to @Igor Kurzin please? 

 

 

  • Logs & traces can be big to very big; run for only as long as it takes to replicate the issue &, if any of the files cannot be attached to the incident, don’t use Webdav, simply upload the files to any cloud service of your choice, create a share link & add the share link to the incident. 

When Technical Support provide an answer, please share their information with the Community?
