  1. Hello Nicolaas1962, Thank you for posting back:pray_tone3: Yes, sometimes things seem "hard" & complicated, but, we're here to help so please be assured we will do all we can. To find requested information: 1⃣ Operating system info, from Windows start menu. search ? type in winver press enter, the popup display will show you the information. 2⃣ KTS info, open KTS application main window, choose ? (lower left hand corner) this opens Support window, the Support window will show the information. 3⃣Please post an image of KTS showing WinZip update is available? 4⃣ Please go to Windows, Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features - sort the list so WinZip is at the top of the list, take a screen print & post back with your reply. (see my image at the end of my reply to show what's needed, note, my image shows WinRar, not WinZip) ---- From what I understand, Winzip is publishing announcements a new WinZip version is available, KTS, recognises the "announcement", offers (to you) to update WinZip, however, when the Winzip update is "managed" via KTS, the Winzip software that's "pushed" onto you machine, is Winzip "TRIAL" version, have I got that correct? Especially "auto-renewal"? & 1⃣ a) Operating system name? b) version? c) build? 2⃣KTS: Free or Licensed? (see note at the end of my reply) b) Version? c) Patch(x)? x = letter Please let us know?   6. Hello RemyAlves Welcome! It is true, thousands of sites use Amazon Web Service S3 hosting services. It is also true, sometimes, sites hosted by Amazon Web Service S3 are unsafe. On the other hand, it can be true, www's or embedded links on those sites, detected by Kaspersky software, are false positives. The solution is simple: With Kaspersky software running, go to the sites being detected, then go to Kaspersky application, choose REPORTS > Detailed Reports > export REPORTS, save as TEXT files, upload the reports, using the UPLOAD icon in your reply. Also, using the TOOLs available at Kaspersky Virus Lab, you may wish to submit the detections, ask the Lab to analyse & verify the detections, if the detections are false positives, Kaspersky will fix, if unable to be fixed, Kaspersky Lab will tell you why. Also, other online sites are available, data can be analysed by 70 engines, that will give you immediate information that you can use to either support your case when engaging with Kaspersky or inform you as to why the detections are happening. Kaspersky require all of us, to submit any such requests, directly to their Technical Support Team. Kaspersky Technical/Business/Development teams review all requests, measure requests again a variety of benchmarks and do whatever passes. Kaspersky Technical Team will communicate with you regarding any suggestion raised with them. To contact Technical Support: choose LOCATION, select GENERAL PRODUCT USE, then select from available options: OnlineChat (if it's available in your region), Submit a request, .via your MyKaspersky online account, use "I have a suggestion" template. Phone (if it's available in your region) & For product enhancements (I would also) enroll in Kaspersky Beta programs. Thanks again

IF "yes" (2a) Kaspersky software (g)full name? Free? or Licensed? {see note at the end of my reply} (h) version? (i) patch(x)? x=letter (3) After KIS was installed, was the system shutdown, using FULL shutdown (not restart), restarted, manual update run, full scan run? (4) Before installing KIS were you able to upload songs to Google Play? (5) Any other AV software installed? IF "yes" (5a) Name? version? (6) Google Chrome version? (7) Are you signed into (your) Google Play account? (8) Are you using a VPN? If "yes" please check if the error repeats if the VPN is not enabled? (9) In KIS REPORTS, are there any errors indicating issues with Google Play, if "yes", please export the report, select 24 hours or 7 days, upload the report using the upload icon, in your reply please? (10) Please post a screen print of the error? (11) Please check the web browser log, look for any RED errors, please save the log & upload using the upload icon in your reply? Please post back? Re: "I downloaded Kaspersky Free v20.0" 1⃣From which website, please provide url/link ? 2⃣Operating system information: Using Windows search? type in winver press enter, the display will show Windows version, build release 3⃣Is there any Firewall (software) installed? active? 4⃣If Windows is run in SafeMode with Networking, does "Could not connect to the installation source of the application. Verify the internet connection settings and try again" error repeat? ---- *Before installing any Kaspersky software the following procedures should be followed*: (A) Check incompatible applications (B) Remove incompatible software (C) Check system requirements If all of the above has been completed successfully and you're performing the install, please follow these steps: (D) Create a system restore point (E) Create a sysimage (F) Clear C:\Windows\Temp , note, there will be some folders/files that require Administrator permission to delete, answer "yes" or "ok" to the popup prompt, additionally, there will be some files "in use", answer "skip" to the popup prompt. (G) Clear C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Temp, there will be some folders/files that require Administrator permission to delete, answer "yes" or "ok" to the popup prompt, additionally, there will be some files "in use", answer "skip" to the popup prompt. It's perfectly fine to stop, we have no expectations, we're always guided by the requestor. I do however, have a question, using config, why not set all update parameters to "disabled/false", or is your assessment - the issue is caused by extensions.strictCompatibility alone? :thinking: Don't feel any pressure to answer, only if you have time. Also, when you say "Kaspersky Internet and Total Security, the installer works fine", have you installed both of those and are trying to install KAV free on top of installations or have you cleaned the system or?   15. Hello momtokid2125, Thanks for persisting with this, it's a steep learning curve but worth it & you're doing great! I had a quick look at the PM, there's a lot there, it will take me a while to go through. To address the Windows accounts. There should be a parent account = you, the parent account has higher privileges. You son must only have a standard account. Can you screen print the accounts, upload to cloud & PM the link please? Please don't post the account images to your post. Regarding your son exceeding the device Time of Use for 3.5 hours, I do not doubt the information. The answer may be in the "notifications", if I find it I will certainly tell you. Just to really test the solution, please ask your son to do everything he can to override KSK, (apart from accessing the computer under your profile:wink:) I know you'll let me know if he finds a way. Checking 2 test mobiles, one earlier v than A7 & one later, (my answer) is no, however, if you'd be kind enough to download, install & run AIDA64, upload the report to cloud and PM the link to me please? I'm more than happy to keep working with you to figure this out, all I ask for please are images of Thunderbird Update config options & Thunderbird settings and "which" extension are you referring to when you say "I just set the flag related to the extension's version control in Thunderbird" ? We see through your eyes. There may well be a simple explanation. Without visuals, it's incredibly hard 1. to replicate, 2. to analyze. Please post back? Thank you.
  22. Hello momtokid2125, I'm very happy to help. I know how hard it is to work out these apps. Remember none of us were any good at anything, when we first started ANYTHING. Me for example, when I was first learning to walk, had to get lots of practice before I nailed it. Using technology is no different. And, there's more pressure on parents as we want to keep the kids safe, teach them responsible device/application use, not deprive them, but at the same time, not allow them complete free reign. So, again, another afternoon of testing. How KSK is SUPPOSED to work, IF the kids uses ALL allocated time, REBOOTS computer, when the computer restarts, he will be able to login, however, within a minute KSK will pop an ALERT (see image) Then, IF KSK is working properly, son "Requests more time", Parent grants request or not, if the answer is "NO", no computer access. --- The things we need to check, consider: (1) On the PC, how is your son's WINDOWS account configured? Go to, Windows, Settings, User accounts: > How many Windows accounts are setup? > How is each account configured? When son is logged into the computer is he logged in as HIS CHILD account? (2) Go to your MyKaspersky account, KSK Notifications, copy ALL notifications for the last 24 hours, paste them to a text document, upload the text document to cloud & pm me the link OR paste the output direct into a PM to me please? ***Don't upload the KSK Notifications to this post please*** (3) Can you please set the device time of use to 15 minutes, log onto the computer (as your child), start a Utube video, anything, let it run for 15 minutes. KSK time expiry alert will happen, LOG OFF computer, REBOOT computer = FULL POWER OFF, restart computer, log on again (as your child) & take a photo of the KSK alert that shows please?   25. Hello Bert, Welcome again! Check (which you've already done:wink:) SOMETIMES, there's a "visible" notification on the first screen of KAV application. Visible as in, the shield may change colour, selecting DETAILS will show additional information. Always regularly SHUTDOWN computer, sometimes big updates are waiting in the background, a FULL shutdown applies the updates. Check the system setting for BOOT - is "fast boot" enabled, if it is change to normal mode. Note: sometimes, these big updates seem to follow no rules, despite 1. 2. 3., I've had big updates pop out of nowhere, others not appear at all until I manually force the update. Thank you.
