Fluff Hello! I am trying out Kaspersky demo, to switch from my current AV. I mostly like what I see. It took some time to make it get along with Revo Uninstaller and with WSL, but I did it. However, one problem persists. Problem I use Win 10 Pro and I use Hyper-V virtual machines a lot. Hyper-V creates virtual ethernet card, called “vEthernet(Default switch)”. Hello, I have this radio that I’ve downloaded the latest firmware to. When scanning for viruses one of the files, D878UV_Setup_1.17.exe is reported to contain WORM.WIN32.WBVB I’ve asked on relevant forums if anyone else finds this malicious object in the downloaded firmware, but it is only me. I’ve also tried to upload the file to Kaspersky VirusDesk (https://virusdesk.kaspersky.com/) and VirusTotal (https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload) Both of these reports the file to be clean, so why does my KIS quarantine it? I posted once before wanting to be able to tell Kaspersky to not scan a file it says is a problem. I know what the file is and it is not a problem. Will exclusions ever be added to the android version of the application?

I am unable to use hardware virtualization in KIS 2020 v.20.0.14.1085g because: “Incompatible hardware or software detected.” I would like to know what incompatible hardware or software was detected? ----- Please don’t reply by saying “Have you checked for this? Have you checked for that?” I should not have to spend time checking for this or that. KIS 2020 obviously knows what incompatible hardware or software was detected, because KIS detected it. So how do I find out what KIS 2020 detected - is it in some log?

I have Kaspersky installed on my Macbook (OS Catalina 10.15.3). It won’t allow me to use commands such as npm/npx or push/pull from github. It’s very frustrating, and works fine when I close the Kaspersky app. I can’t see anything in the settings that would allow me to change this. Can anyone shed light on how to fix this issue as I don’t want to disable Kaspersky every time I run one of these commands (which is frequently). Thanks!

Hi, I use KIS on android and recently my device picked up an unconfirmed crdownload, KIS identified it as an adware . I copied the file to my pc to analyse but my windows defender said it was a trojan virus. The very next day there was a stack trace file by KIS in my system. Considering what happened I'm thinking this is connected to the other incident. Can someone tell me about this trace file?

I’m new to Kaspersky (Internet Security 2020) and have a couple of questions. Entering passwords securely. So, when I’m in the secured browser (Firefox in my case), and click in a password field, it says “Secure keyboard input is enabled”. Now, I can input my password in a variety of ways, using my laptop keyboard, using the Kaspersky onscreen keyboard, using the Windows onscreen keyboard, and even copy and pasting a password into the password field. Are all these input methods protected? I use a track pad on my laptop (no mouse), and with every other application I’ve ever seen, a tap on the track pad is interpreted as a mouse click. If I enable uninstallation protection, kaspersky blocks removing attempts, so basically it's safe and protected against thefts. But when I revoke permissions it needs, access to cam & location, no pin code is required so antitheft becomes half-useless once I can't send locate or photo commands. Is there way to protect permissions I granted as well?

Hello, with the recent results from AV-comparatives showing a big difference between cloud and offline protection, i was wonderinh if Disabling KSN would cause any impact in detection rates. According to my reaearch and understending, disabling KSN would make me not send any samples for kaspersky and be dependent of the regular signatures updates, that always happens after some hours. I would not have the beneffit of instant access to the last AV signatures. But that would only mean a few hours delay between my signatures and KSN signatures. Correct? So, i have a few questions: 1)Disabling KSN would have any other impact? 2) I would loose access to cloud signatures?…

We have a SaaS (web app) that uses Froala YSIWYG HTML Editor, but users with Kaspersky Internet Security since 2020-05-11 cannot use this feature, as it is blocked by KIS. What could be happening? My Kaspersky Internet Security expires in another 6 days. It is installed in two devices, in my laptop and android phone. If I renew from my laptop, do I just get an activation code which I should enter in both devices? Or is a new software downloaded? In which case, should I activate from both devices? Or if it is just a new code that I will be getting, after obtaining the activation code, where should I enter it, since the license is still active and will be active for another six days. Should I wait for the current license to expire before activation?

I have set Kaspersky to Game Mode in order to prevent scans from happening while I am playing games in Full Screen Mode. I also have the scans Scheduled in the early mornings when I usually have my laptop turned on but I’m not usually playing. What I see happening very often is that the Quick Scan, Full Scan and Root Kit Scans are in progress after I shut down my games. It’s not that the games just quit and it started, I’ve seen the full scans at 80+% completed. Note that this doesn’t always cause problems with all of my games but it definitely does affect the performance on some of them. Why is this happening? Anyone else see this?

I have Kaspersky Internet security for 2 years and 3 licenses. I have activated the license more than 3 times. Does that mean if you buy 1 lecnsie you can activate 20 times within your local network? And with a license of 3 you can on 3 different networks? I never really understood this. Thanks in advance Regards.

I’m trying to send this report to a bug created by some update in the past months using Kaspesky Internet Security 20.0 but I am already in the past 2 hours waiting for this green bar to ‘’transfer in progress’’. How long does it take to complete? The file is not even heavy is just 10 mb.

I received an email stating the subscription on an old order will be renewed in December. I tried to log-in to cancel the renewal as the PC it’s for is now dead (I have Kaspersky on 2 other devices, neither of which are close to renewal). I’ve wasted over an hour trying to cancel the order when I should be out, but regardless of which of 2 email addresses I used (the renewal email came to me via a second address), or alternatively using the order number and last 4 digits of my CC I always got error messages when there were no errors! KIS version is 21.1.15.500( c ) . It just auto updated the other day to this version and now im having issues with youtube, top right panel with drop down list wont work (one with your profile picture) and the notification bell will not load anything, along with not being able to comment and more videos not loading when i scroll down. Pausing kaspersky fixes everything. Is 21.1.15.500 ( c ) the newest KIS version? if so is there a way i could temporarily run with a previous version and see it if works?

Kaspersky just auto upgraded itself and it installed itself in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab But that’s not where I had my install! Why does it do this?? It should keep my original install location. Now I have to uninstall and reinstall where I want it. So @#$%&$* annoying!!! Why does it do this??

Hello, I have a huge emails database stuck stored in a *.klq file. *.klq files is the file extension used to quarantine files from a previous version of Kaspersky. I would like to restore the email database and I need to convert the kql file in the original file format. Is there any software able to convert such files ? Thank you
