Hi, I have a some server software running on my computer. I want to make sure only a specific (local) application can connect to the server api. I would like to create a firewall rule that achieves this. I intend to make a packet rule to with action being "By application rules", but first I'm testing it with action "Block". No matter what I do, the connection is not blocked. I've specified Direction: Inbound, Protocol: TCP, Port: server listening port. Then I've tried remote addresses: Subnet Addresses, Local Network Also tried Remote Address: Any address and Local Address: Any address I'm thinking maybe the firewall doesn't do loc…

Unfortunately, the latest release has caused my 2020 MacBook Air to use more CPU and memory than the previous version. CPU usage is not insignificant.

KIS ignores excluded and trusted URLs at random. While using a certain website which I know is safe despite it having certificate issues (only self signed) kaspersky will often ignore the fact the said website addresses are both in the “Trusted URLS” and “exceptions for URL advisor” and throw “Visiting an untrustworthy website has been prevented” warnings at random sometimes each link on the same site.☹ Its seems to happen more in firefox than chrome but happen on both and is definitely kaspersky doing the blocking (both browsers also have the official addon/extensions installed). Several times over the past month my keyboard’s completely stopped letting me type but commands like ctrl+alt+delete still work fine. Finally figured out that if I exit KIS it comes right back. Any idea why it’s doing this or how to stop it?

I sometimes want to copy a file between two computers on my desk by typing in CMD window from computer Master to computer Target. Via "Map Network Drive", Master knows Target as N:. To connect the computers, I type [C:]net use N: \\Target\cTarget password /User:Charles This works fine if Kaspersky is turned off. (It also worked regardless of Kaspersky before I installed a "mesh" system for enhancing wifi signals within the house and yard). Is there a place in Kaspersky on the Target computer that will let me type the SSID of Master to be allowed to browse and fiddle with Target?

Hello. I noticed the following while testing KIS with Outlook: There is an option called “Connect Microsoft Extension” (default enabled) and there is a corresponding add-in installed in Outlook. Disabling this option decreases KIS CPU load while IMAP transfer is happening. What benefits does the add-in/extension connection offer in return for the increased CPU load?

Hello, I am running Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391(j) on a QEMU/KVM virtualized Windows 10 (x64) 22H2 19045.2673 machine. Whenever I try to modify KIS settings or pause protection for a time period through QEMU console the VM freezes with 800% CPU usage (4 HT cores) until KVM resets the machine. I can't even allow remote management software like RDP or Teamviewer to manage KIS settings since allowing them also requires confirmation which screen freezes the VM too. How can I manage KIS in this situation? Can I even uninstall KIS from the VM? Thanks, David

It doesn’t list all devices in My Kaspersky, but it lists only the computer I log-in, not the total of the devices. For example: when I log-on in my windows computer, it shows only 1 device in My Kaspersky, the same thing when I log-on to my iMac, it shows only 1iMac device in My Kaspersky. Actually, I use it for all 3 devices: Windows, iMac, Android. I thought it should have been listed all 3 devices in My Kaspersky no matter what computer I was using. Please let me know if your My Kaspersky is difference than mine. Thank you, LTL

On the kaspersky site I read kaspersky KIS 2019 suports secure keybord input on chrome on the version until 64. But I use chrome version 76 with KIS 2019 19.0.0.188(g). It's already a very long time on chrome, kaspersky does not show a little popup of secure keyboard input so you have no idea whether kaspersky supports secure keyboard on your chrome or not. Can someone determine whether chrome version 76 is supported for secure keyboard input? I use the kaspersky protection extension on chrome.

Hello, Good day, may I ask if it's somewhat normal for the product to unplugged the Ethernet connection. Currently, we're using a laptop with an ethernet adaptor as our source of internet and as of a couple days back, the internet has disappeared. There was no ethernet 2 there but there was a Kaspersky one which was new. So deciding to look for answers I tried looking up for solutions and spotted a similar experience. In all honesty, it was a hasty mistake in my part and I hastily deleted the VPN connection thing of the Kaspersky product. Good news, the Kaspersky ethernet unplugged thing is gone but now I have no idea to connect back to the previous Ethernet network.…

Error while scanning the encrypted connection with services thunderbird. My problem is I was getting the Kaspersky Internet Security notification center warning that is not monitoring secure traffic on my Windows System. The recommendation was to manually input root certificate into browsers and thunderbird. I did this, and I am now getting the message: Error while scanning the encrypted connection with services.addons.thunderbird.net. To get access add the website to exclusions, or Ignore. I just recently got the Kaspersky internet security (1user 3decive) subscription. I have already added three computers to the subscription already making (3 devices). On just trying to make use of the Kaspersky app on my phone I noticed I was also able to use the activation code on my mobile device as well (Making this a 4th device), does this mean I can also use the subscription on my phone even though I have already used it on three other laptops (3 devices). I hope activating this on my phone doesn't automatically disable the subscription on any of the other devices. I will really appreciate an answer on this ..Thank you

After every patch upgrades (like a,b,c,d,e,f), anti banner filters turn off automatically. Though not immediately after restart, it happens after a day. To solve this, I have to again turn on the banner filters one by one, or, reset the settings to default. Application version :- 21.3.10.391(f) Windows 10 21h1 version. Is this a known issue ?

Sonarr keeps getting quarantined by KIS even though the application is open source. Is it safe to add it to exclusions list or should i keep it quarantined?
