Old version was allowing me to chose action when I insert a USB but Now I cannot find that option to let USB be scaned upon insertion

I want it to notify me and chose to scan or Not to scan?

Please open the main window and select ‘Scan’.
Scroll down and you will find ‘Removable drives Scan’.

is it a hard drive or a USB stick?

With HDs, depending on the computer and the OS, it can happen that it is mounted as 'local HD'. Then KIS does not realize that it is actually a removable disk.

Please check this in the Windows Explorer.

Also, in (our) v21.3, there is no such option:

 

 

& KIS, What’s new, states: “It is now possible to hide removable drive scan window.”

We raised this with HQ in June 2021, they said:

yes, you are right.
The popup is missing in the latest version.

You can only set whether to scan always or never.
