So to answer your questions: Have (you) asked them - in all seriousness - it's much better to be upfront, something along the lines of, it's not that we don't trust you but you're a smart kid, we don't want to waste time with Community support / support if you've messed with the system, the reason we have KSK is to keep you safe. Yes indeed, that was always the first port of call. The 12 year claims complete unawareness of what's going on there. Knows his quotas and so on. But of course the reason for enforcement is that time sort of races by with young kids, and so he's been up very early from bed to get a lot of time in 😉 In our tests we replicated the issue - then resolved it - this is where it took so long bc KSK is a PIA when it comes to uninstall & clean install & post install. Awesome! I'm glad you could replicate it. Am a software engineer myself and know how hard it is to find bugs not replicable. That's what (you) need to do, shutdown *absolutely-everything*, then, using Windows Add & remove programs - uninstall KSK, then shutdown the computer, make sure it's a *full* shutdown, restart, login. I will schedule this in coming days. No problem. Definitely worth doing and your recommendation to do so helps justify the time needed to do it. Download a *new* KSK installer from here: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads - scroll down to the downloads section & select KSK. Noted. Install KSK, after the full install, reboot the computer, make sure it's a *full* shutdown, restart, login. Noted. At this point KSK time reporting will be *accurate* but KSK will send a notification in 24 to 48 hrs to do *another* *full* shutdown bc it will have applied the latest version *silently* - make sure you do the *full* shutdown, restart, login *again*. Noted. At that point KSK time reporting will still be working & you & the kid are good to go. Fingers crossed! A couple of other points to note: Will do. BOTH children must only have a LOCAL Windows user account - no elevated profiles whatsoever. They have outlook.com remote accounts. Windows is actually making it nightmarishly difficult to create local accounts. It will be hard to shift them over (because of valid complaints they will have re: game status) and come at a cost in terms of migration facility (they are the recipients of hand-me-down hardware. Both Children - IF the children use Android phones (as well) the Settings application must be Forbidden. To permit access to this is the equivalent of giving an elevated profile on a Windows device. They don't have Android phones and won't have until of age (likely 16+ or 17+). The science on what smartphones to childrens brains is in and IMHO no sensible parent gives a gid a smart phone. Sadly they have indirect access via children at school whose parents are not so enlightened. But dumbphones are making a revival and our 12 year old has one for remaining in phone and SMS contact. Will check these images again after following steps above. Thanks again, I'll report back once I've completed the reinstall as suggested.

  8. SOLVED. I had the same problems: tried different browsers. Then I tried Tor. This allowed connection and after a few steps I finally got my voucher code and successfully redeemed it! However, there is a limited period in which you can claim: this may vary, so check your gift claim email. If you don't claim within this window, it will likely fail.

  10. For CS2 to run without triggering MTU or UDP errors, you need to set the MTU to 1492 or 1500 — in my case on the “Kaspersky VPN WG NT Adapter.” It works very well for me. By contrast, when the MTU is set to 1420 on any adapter, CS2 throws a connection error. This is what happens in my setup.

  13. Hello, seems you are scanning network drives which is not recommended. Network location should be scanned on the device where it resides. When you do this on each client or server having a network drive mapped than traffic is high. I guess the settings of the scope will descrease this traffic

  15. Da vorher im falschen Forum hier noch einmal meine Frage: Ich setze bei einem meiner Kunden das oben genannte Produkt ein. Bisher funktionierte es sehr gut. Aber plötzlich bekam einer der Server Platzprobleme auf der System Partition. Ich endeckte im Windows Temp Ordner Hunderte Millionen Dateien die anscheinend in den letzten Jahren dort von Kaspersky erzeugt wurden. Das gleiche auf zwei weiteren Servern. Es sind Haupt Ordner in denen befindet sich ein Unterordner mit dem Namen "CLR" und darin befinden sich viele Konfigurationsdateien die anscheinend zum Löschen von Fremdvirenscannern gedacht sind. Diese Ordner werden 48 Mal am Tag(alle 30 Min) angelegt. Nach 2 Jahren sind es so viele Dateien das ich Tage brauche um sie zu löschen. Es sind tatsächlich Hunterte Millionen an Dateien die 400 GB belegen pro Server. Wie kann man das Anlegen dieser Ordner stoppen? Die Ordner liegen alle in C:\Windows\Temp und lauten in etwa \\ABC123......\cls\..... Darin befinden sich Konfigurationsdateien für Löschvorgänge zu allen bekannten Virenscannern außer zu Kaspersky.
  16. Hello Sang, the service klfoc do not start because it seems the network is no really ready when failover to it. Please open services.msc and go to the service properties and select Restore tab and set the service to wait, perhaps 2 Minutes, and retry to start the service until it is started. As per Screenshot there were a few minutes between failed and new start. Seems to be a timing issue. So maybe this workaround can prevent the problem. Best Regards

If you encounter an 'Incorrect format' error while saving an Application Control rule in the KES Cloud console, follow these steps to resolve it: Temporarily replace all '+' symbols in the rule with a different character. Save the rule. Export the rules list to a JSON file. Open the JSON file and manually change the placeholder symbols back to the correct path (using '+'). Import the modified JSON file back into the console. This issue is scheduled to be fixed in the next KES Cloud release.
