On my Android phone, Standard Chartered Bank mobile banking app has flagged the Kaspersky app as malware and the banking app refused to work due to data security concerns. Anyone has the similar problem?

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

Please, report the issue to K. Support

Also, I would contact also to that banking app official support.

Most probable reason, is that bank integrated some SDK of 3rd party security vendor into their mobile app.
As our moderator @harlan4096 replied: you should contact the bank to ask more details about this flag. Most probable answer from your bank would be something related to "Anti-Fraud Policies" or "enhanced security for bank customers".

In any case, is the bank who should bring you a response of your claim.

So the banking app will be restricting access when it found an app on the phone with the following conditions:

- has accessibility access settings enabled, AND

- is not downloaded from the trusted app stores.

Apparently Kaspersky app is not downloaded from Google Play Store and has accessibility access settings enabled, so it is not innocent clearly.

I came from the old Kaspersky Internet Security app when it was downloadable from Google Play Store, what happened to this new app? Why don't you put it up on Google Play Store?

Honestly, it's kind of surprise to me when a cybersecurity firm like you provided users an APK for installation, as this is how millions of victims out there got their billions dollars of money hijacked by scammers.

In short, not professional at all.

Hello,

Have you contacted the banking app's support service? There are no issues on our product's side.

This is also happening with my Bank (First Direct). Bank says the issue is with Kaspersky as above.  I cannot make the banking app an exception on the android version of Kaspersky.  Kaspersky customer support have been useless.  Hopefully someone in forum has solution - else I am going to have to uninstall Kaspersky (because access to bank more important than Kaspersky). a pity to have to switch anti-virus provider having used Kaspersky products for 10 years

Can you provide the URL of the bank? and the K. detection?

Its First Direct app, not URL.

Can't send screenshot as blocked by bank for safety reasons (so just get black screenshot)

In order to be able to use banking app, I've had to uninstall Kaspersky for Android (part of Kaspersky Premium) and pause Password Manager & prevent PM from autofilling

Frustrating there seemed no way to pause Kaspersky for mobile (pausing antivirus was not enough)
